I picked this because it is compact and fits perfectly in small counters. You can definitely make delicious omelets works well because it nonstick surface makes it easy to clean. It is fast cooking’to let you know it is done by the indicator light and beeping sound. You can create a delicious breakfast omelet or a grilled cheese sandwich. Very valuable for our kitchen. Fairly decent for the price
Makes really good omelets with a few caveats. It's really confusing that both lights come on while heating up but the green light goes out when it's ready and the red light stays on for the entire process. Oh, and the green light does flash on sometimes and that is normal according to the instructions. (I think whoever made this needs to revisit the whole concept of red light, green light.) You need to have a timer because this machine does not time anything. Doing 2 eggs each side with ham and cheese we figure about 9 minutes is really good and it makes fluffy omelets that tend to deflate pretty quick, but they really are easy and taste great. Plates are not removeable so I just took a soapy sponge and gently wiped it out and then removed with a wet dishcloth. The mechanics of this thing leaves a lot to be desired but for $20 it certainly is worth it if you eat omelets as often as we do.

Great Omelets in just 5-7 minutes!
Ok, I'll admit it: I'm a lazy cook sometimes. So because of that fact, I'm constantly hunting for kitchen gadgets and small appliances, that make cooking dinner super quick and easy for me. Eggs don't really take that long of course, but sometimes my omelets can be hit or miss. Uneven cooking is my usual problem with omelets, and also that they don't always puff up nicely like I want them to.Well, for $20 I thought I'd give this little machine a try, and it paid off. :)I whisked up a couple of eggs, some milk, a little salt and pepper and some cheese, and that made for a quick and tasty omelet!I'm really happy with simple it is to cook with this small appliance. The steps are easy and uncomplicated. I think even people who almost never cook, could pull this off without any trouble.Step One: Spray some cooking spray, like Pam or Crisco, in the top and bottom cooking wells.Step Two: Close the top.Step Three: Plug the machine in.Step Four: Stir up your 2 Large or XL eggs, I add a couple tablespoons of milk (plus cheese, salt, pepper, herbs or spices, some chopped meats and vegetables; whatever you want to add to your personal omelet)Step Five: Wait for the machine's light to turn red.Step Six: Pour the eggs into the cooking wells (don't let it overflow) :)Step Seven: Close the LidStep Eight: Wait between 5-7 minutes while it cooks, and you'll see when it's pretty much done, that the omelet is puffing up and basically lifting the machine's top up on its own! The omelet should look nice and golden brown, and if you want to test the temperature, a thermometer should read at least 160 degrees.I think I'm going to be using this machine pretty regularly! My next experiment is with some pancake batter, just to see if I can make some fluffy, half moon shaped pancakes. :)Hopefully you'll enjoy using your omelet maker, just as much as I'm enjoying mine!

Nice for one or two
I love it! It works well for one or two people. Still trying to figure out the ratio. A recipe guide would've been nice. It doesn't take up a lot of space in my cabinet.

Great little machine
I got my machine today and made 7 omelets for the freezer. It worked great. Made very fluffy omelets that rose and were a good size (about the size of a hot pocket). I used a dozen eggs, small bag of shredded cheese, 6 oz of ham chopped up (sandwich ham) and it made 7 omelets. I forgot to buy milk so didn't had any but they turned out great I only let them go for 8 minutes, not 10. I ate the last one I made and it was perfect. The unit is super easy to clean, just wipe it clean. I did use non stick spray and wiped the machine between batches. I have 6 omelets in the freezer for the week. I use to buy the Jimmy Dean Omelets that I don't think they make anymore and these are about the same size but a lot cheaper and so easy. I wasn't sure what machine to buy or really if there is any difference but this one did all it promised. You do not have control over the heat but for what I bought it for I didn't need it.
