Bought this starter in Jan of 2018, failed in less than 8 months. Contacted the seller, apparently that one year warranty they claim on their product listing is only good for 3 months. After that they prorate the cost of a new starter. So if I wanted to buy their junk again it would be discounted 20% off the new price.I took a chance with this company cause the starter was so cheap, it was a mistake. Go out and buy a reputable starter, its not worth the headache of having to walk home, or have someone turn the key while you bang on the starter, hoping to be able to get home after a long day...Long story short, this starter is in failure mode, I am still able to bang it and get it working, but this will only work for so long. Time to get a new one from a better source...

Item received and fit perfectly on my 2005 chevy Malibu. Looks exactly like OEM. Initial cranks did not work but after a few minutes of trying it turned over. its been 2 weeks now and no issues. So far so good. Good price. Will follow up after 6 months.

Replaced the old starter with this starter and sold the car.Old starter would not start the car and the solenoid was draining the battery.This starter corrected the issue, started the car with ease, and looked as durable as any other starter I have installed in the last decade. No ability to know longevity, but see no reason it should not last a decade or longer.I would buy again if needed a 3.1 starter again. Installed into a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Even though it said exact replacement for a 2004 old alero 4cyl, it only fits 6cyl.In the description it's states this but the vehicle ck on Amazon website says it did. There were items it definately said they didn't fit. I have bought other parts that description said it didn't fit but, the exact fit said it did and they fit with no problem. Not in this instance. Had to go to auto store and pay 3 times as much as mechanic already had car apart.

Good quality product for the price. Just as described.Update: Installed this product at end of December 2016. Waited to give it a review.....the car was starting fine when I wrote review. Less that a month later the starter died today and left me stranded while out. I have contacted the seller as there is a 1 year manufacturers warranty listed on Amazon ECCPP product page. I will keep updating my comments as the warranty process moves forward.

Fit just fine, and to repeat someone else's comment, it spins like a Dervish. Spotless, well packed, and assembled right. Price is a ganga too.

First one was d.o.a but received a new one no questions asked. Installed a month ago and working good so far. I will update rating if it last.

This part is junk is been less than 2 months that i have it installed and its been malfunctioning after the 3th week it smells burned everytime i turn on mu van like the bad one I replaces
