I have a flat tesla coil lighter which works very well. Sixty miles an hour in a convertible, it's 100% dependable, and lasts a long time between charges. I bought this one thinking that since it's bigger, it might have a bigger battery and last even longer. Well, there are some problems. First of all, don't buy a round one. It rolls off every surface you lay it down on. It's always on the floor somewhere. Second, it has a power switch on the bottom. That's good, because you don't want the button getting pressed when it's in a purse or pocket and heating up. But when you turn it on, the button lights up BRIGHT blue. It's annoying, it's blinding in the dark if you hit your eyes with it, and it's sucking up battery power all the time it's on just for that light. In contrast, my flat one is powered on by opening the lid, so it's safe when closed and you don't have to screw around with a switch. This is a good product and works well, but I hate the switch, the light, and the rolling off the table. I'll buy another flat one.

I love this lighter. I have been smoking for a very long time, and tried many different methods for a clean ignition. Usually go back to disposable butane, until I got this. I noticed the difference in that the butane lighters add a harshness to even the smoothest smoke.I bought my first one in September 2017, and it is still going strong. The charge cord gave out after 14 months. I wanted another Tesla lighter anyway, so I could always have one charged. It stays charged for days, and charges in about 1, 1 1/2 hours. But it was hard to go back to butane even for a short while. I got the “ champagne” color this time, because it was cheapest, but I really like the color. It isn’t a cheesy yellow like in the photo, but a lovely gold. I am very very happy with them. I easily spend the same amount on disposable lighters in a year. If you care about the taste, quality, and smoothness of your smoke, I really recommend these lighters.If you buy indoor weed, or any modern concentrates, stick with the butane. You are already poisoning yourself, no matter what the label or your budtender tells you.

The lighter worked okay for a few months, not very strong... but I accidentally dropped it on my wood floor and thought nothing of it. A minute later it started making hissing noises and I picked it up to see if it was turned on. The power switch was turned to off but it was still hissing, then it started to get hot. As it started getting hotter in my hand I realized I was holding a battery GRENADE. I ran outside and dropped it in my driveway, hoping it wouldn't explode on the way. I left it outside for days and threw it in the trash afterwards. It only lasted me a couple of months, not even a half year. Lesson learned: DON'T cheap out on electric lighters.

Worked well for a bit now won’t hold charge and I think a magnet broke off because it won’t stay closed anymore.

The best Tesla lighter i ever got, the clean sleek and classical inspired lighter makes it easy to handle and to light almost anything at any angle. The battery life on this is fantastic, it has a lasting life even with it on all day. The magnetic closing lock for the cap hold strong, making sure it doesn't open up. All around great material, a strong sturdy metal casing with smooth opening hinge. It is all around great lighter without consumption of butane or lighter fluid. I would recommend to anyone for any daily use of a normal lighter

Excellent customer service, returns and replacements with no hassle. As far as the lighter's functionality i would have to give it 4 out of 5. It does not compare to a butane flame, and thus should not be compared. The "arc" has a completely different flavor and burning method, which i think is good at best.
