You will need to get the base Coup game as well. This only comes with expansion cards, no base cards or coins.

Yes, the backs of this cards are different of the original coup cards.

Q: Are these cards made by the same company that makes the base game?

Im not exactly sure, but I can tell you that the ones I got are slightly different from the expansion pack. So I can’t really combine these with the original as you can tell they are different, even when the cards are faced down.
