The truth lies in here...
I love Hans Christian Anderson's Fair Tales but it is in the original version and is not well suited to those unused to the formal language written so long ago. However, that said, it's great to read these stories and use them as a tell aloud to children. These stories have classic plots which lend themselves to today's world news. Just look at the Emperor's New Clothes!!

Hans Christian Andersen
I grew up with the stories this author has written and I have shared these same stories with my kids. He is one of the best children's authors I have ever read. Awesome and children of this generation will like him too. He has covered all the bases of this generation by covering the fantasy, sci-fi, and more of the genres that children like to watch on tv and read.

Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales
Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales is filled with stories from the master story teller himself. This book has a few stories that readers may recognize from their youth. It is a book geared for the older child to adult reader as the stories are on the somber side but gets one to think about the meaning of the story. If you are looking for stories such as The Ugly Duckling, Thumbalina, etc. you will not find it in them in this collection of stories.

Attractive volume, good illustrations
I am pleased with this edition; it has all of the Anderson stories I was looking for, and several I was not familiar with.

This Nana was disappointed...
Had hoped to see a few pics in color tied to stories. Was disappointed from that standpoint for sure. Got this book to read to my sweet grandchildren when the did sleepovers with their Nana & everyone knows pictures are worth a thousand words.

Love these original fairy tales
I love these fairy tales. I read these when I was younger, and loved the stories, so I was so excited to find them in a Kindle version. These are the true old fairy tales, not the fairy tale versions we see today. They're short stories so you can keep the interest of kids, but still leave little tidbits for adults.

Beautiful book, great variety of stories
So many great stories! This is a beautiful book. I gave it as a set with two other books of the same type (Grimm, Aesop) and it worked out great.

Copertina rigida - recensione

Great edition of classic fairy tales
Really nice book. Translation is not super modern, but modern enough to read easily. Pictures are plentiful and add a nice touch.Grisly stories
