Fascinating read
A fascinating read, perfect for browsing through whilst having your lunch. Even if you are based in another country, the descriptions are a great read. The illustrations and writing style is both detailed yet also entertaining. I hope Grady releases another book!

It's like "How it's made" but for infrastructure!
As a civil engineering student, this is a really interesting read. However, if you're just a person who likes to know how the built environment works, this book is sure to peak your interest nonetheless.

Inspire the next generation
Well written, informative, US centric (unsurprisingly) but still useful. Great idea to help the budding engineers of the world see it more clearly.

Fascinating book, very well researched and written
I love this book, fascinating for everyone from a seasoned engineer to my 3-year-old. Grady's style is friendly and technical enough not to be patronising but basic enough that it's understandable.

I bought it for the illustrations
I don't have a single engineering bone in my body but the illustrations made me curious

Bought this book after being a subscriber of the author's YT channel for years. Good fun read on a number of engineering fields. Highly recommended if you want to get your kids to fall in love with engineering.

Excellent book on civil engineering. Good learning tool about our constructed world. It is written in plain English for a wide age range of readers. Good book for road trips to try and find items in the book. Clear and well thought out illustrations.
