Quality adapter - not a converter
Works very well. Note: this is a plug adapter not a current converter. if you have an appliance that operates on 110/220 vac and you just need to adapt US or EU plugs to UK standard these work well. If you are trying to us a US standard 110vac 60 hz device in the UK you will need a converter in addition to this adapter. EX: I use this adapter in conjunction with a US 110 vac to 220 vac EU converter so I can plug the converter into UK sockets.

Great product
Another item I recently purchased for my Dublin work trip and it was a great buy. It's not bulky so it fitw well in my backpack for traveling. Very sturdy and easy to use. Ended up giving one to my coworker as he forgot to get one for work trip. It does the job well.

Perfect for Great Britain travel; compact and simple
The package of 2 adapters arrived very quickly and were just what I needed. Some adapters, which have all the different types of plugs in one unit, are bulky, cumbersome, and just don't fit in all sockets because of its size. These simple adapters are great, they fit any British socket and are lightweight and pack easily. A nice, simple, effective product!

Simple two-pack, does the job – just don't expect bells and whistles
I picked these up because I travel a fair bit between the US and the UK. I live in Delaware now (used to be in Florida), and between business trips and leisure travel, I got tired of hunting for adapters at airport shops for $15 each. I just wanted something basic that would let me plug my US laptop charger and phone bricks into Type G sockets without drama. My expectations were low but specific: fit snugly, don't spark, don't melt, and actually work. I didn't want USB ports, surge protection, or any fancy extras – just a simple shape-shifter from US prongs to UK holes. The pros (what works fine) They're compact. Unlike those chunky universal adapters that block the outlet next to them, these are small enough to fit side by side on a power strip . I packed both in my carry-on and barely noticed them. The build feels decent for the price. No loose parts, no creaky plastic. Several reviews mention the quality being solid, with a good snug fit in UK sockets . I used mine in London and Edinburgh, and neither wiggled or fell out. The two-pack is genuinely useful. I gave one to my coworker who forgot his, and we both charged our devices without fighting over the single adapter . For the price (usually under $10-15 for the pair), the value is hard to beat . The cons (stuff to know) They're just adapters – no voltage conversion. This is obvious to most people, but I've seen reviews where folks fried their hair dryers because they assumed the adapter would also step down 220V to 110V . Your device needs to be dual-voltage (most phone and laptop chargers are – check the fine print). If it says 100-240V, you're fine. If it says 110V only, leave it at home. Some cheaper versions have safety issues. I dug through reviews before buying, and a few people reported adapters that sparked, smoked, or fried their devices . I haven't had that problem with mine, but it's worth spending a couple extra dollars on a known brand rather than the absolute cheapest no-name option. One reviewer warned that cheap adapters can reverse line and neutral, which isn't ideal . No USB ports. This is a feature for me (simpler = less to break), but if you want to charge your phone without bringing a brick, you'll need a different product . Real-world use On my last trip to London, I used these in two hotel rooms and a coffee shop. Plugged in my Dell laptop charger (US plug) and my iPhone brick simultaneously – both worked without issue. The adapters fit flush against the wall, so they didn't fall out when I nudged the desk. Easy to pack, easy to use, no fuss. One minor annoyance: the UK three-prong design means you can't plug these into a shaver socket (the two-pin kind in bathrooms). That's fine – those aren't meant for high-power devices anyway . Value for money For a simple, no-frills Type G adapter, these are priced fairly. You could probably find slightly cheaper ones, but the difference is a couple bucks. Given that a single bad adapter could fry a $100 laptop charger, I'd rather pay a little more for something that won't catch fire . Did it meet my expectations? Yes, completely. I wanted a basic adapter that works, and it does. No sparks, no loose fits, no melted plastic. It's not fancy, it doesn't charge faster or look cool – it just sits there and lets US plugs work in UK walls. That's exactly what I paid for. Final Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Loses one star because there's nothing special about it – but honestly, for a basic adapter, that's kind of the point. Would buy again.

Well made, solid plus
These adapters are well made, heavy duty plastic with sturdy metal plug pieces. You get two in the package. They came quickly in time for a trip to the UK. They worked perfectly and plug into each other to save space when packing. I would definitely order them again.

Supperb Adaptor
I ordered these adaptors because of moving to Bangladesh where U.S. plugs do not work in local wall sockets, even if the device can handle 220 volts (as well as 110). I had purchased a bunch of great looking adaptors locally (in Dhaka) and had a rapid meltdown that fused a plastic plug into the adaptor's body - a real molten mess! I noticed that the U.S. Embassy here was ordering these "TravelMore" adaptors for their own use and had tried them out successfully. They work great, even under heavy load. They are small, well-built, durable and travel really well. A 2-socket version could possibly be even more convenient, but I have not needed such as yet. A first-world device for a third-world application, where solutions are locally available but quality is totally absent.
