I use these 5x9 High Flow bags over my gravel-vac (secured with twist tie) or attached to the hose outlet of gravel-vac. Small critters like Ostracods (seed shrimp) will flow through, but baby shrimp and tiny snails will not... Perfect sized mesh to protect my drains and local waterways!These bags are worth the price, made in USA and are quality. My original ones are still holding up, the only reason I'm ordering more is because I haz more tanks (it happens) :")

I tied these bags with the rubber band around a powerhead Outlet and let the power head run overnight endless absolutely stunned by the amount of debris that these bags were able to catch and collect, so in the morning I was able to empty the bags and rinse them out and simply reuse them again until I got the desired amount of debris out of my heavily planted tank. Very convenient for my purposes, the drawstring was not that great but I used rubber bands tripled over and it worked just fine. Also, using these bags did not seem to impede the flow due to their long length, so no damage was done to the powerhead and the tank still got a decent amount of circulation while the bags were attached and full of debris.

I am using these for my pool vac. All the other bags weren’t fine enough mesh. These are perfect and now my pool is so clean

Love these filter bags - 4 stars only because there’s no easy way to ensure that they stay closed. Seems like if you’re going to add strings, might as well add a cinch. Still worth the money!

Easily refillable with whatever filter media I need and also easy to clean. Sturdy, yet pliable and conforms to whatever shape is needed inside a filter system. Much more economical than the mfgs molded prefilled filter media pouches.

I got these to run aragonite sand through my filters to raise my ph, gh, and kh. They’re perfect. None of the sand has escaped the bags (I did a couple of twists above the sand and then pulled the open end back over itself, rather than using the drawstring closure). I like them so much, I bought more for my mom and my sister.
