Only down side is now my cats scratch in a different place on the chair. Catnip is out, my cats hate catnip. Wish I got this before my chair was shredded.

Our 3 cats got used to always scratching the side of the couch, and this was definitely the solution to that problem! It was easy to install. Only downside is the sturdiness… wish it was thicker so it could hold up better when the cats use it.

Maybe if you have small kittens it's okay but my adult cats pulled out three of these pins in 3 days and I have a one and a half year old so it's really worrying to me but even if you don't have a toddler or a young child you risk stepping on them yourself or your pet it's just really not safe for anyone. I do not recommend whatsoever unless you have another way to put it on your couch but then you might as well get something for a little more $ thats sturdier.My cats will end up tearing up the corner of the couch with nothing there anyways so I said screw it and used nails lol but I'm sure that's not recommended it's just a lot more sturdy and safe now. Just make sure you get it into the wood or it wont do a thing lol. I'm unsure of how else you would attach this to the couch I'm not sure how other brands do it or if there even is safer options that work but I don't see how this is acceptable. Just please for the safety of your children do not even try it if you have children find a different way to attach it or just don't use it, it's not worth it! Stay safe out there ppl your pets and babies too!!

The low rating for adhesive is due to the fact that this does not have any adhesive. It has pins to attach it. It has worked perfectly, stays in place, and the cat have finally accepted she cannot sharpen her claws on the cloth recliner.

I like how they look, they cover the perfect area that the cats usually scratch, and they took up them fine….BUT… the furniture screw pins that fasten it on are a terrible idea. One is now missing off if it, and I have no idea if it’s been ingested and by which cat, or if it’s lurking somewhere to be stepped on, which will definitely be an ER worthy puncture wound. Honestly, the way the arm of my sofa is designed, the pins had nothing to grip but the outer fabric. That doesn’t seem stable when the point is for cats to be scratching on. I feel like I wasted my money , and I bought two, because they just seem like a terrible and expensive accident waiting to happen.

So firstly it does protect the couch while the cats scratch the corners. It does give a chic look to the couch too.Couple concerns though is that if your couch has a wooden base, you might not be able to screw those screws in to the couch, the board won’t all it. Secondly the cats will scratch periodically through out the days and they scratch hard so some of those screws (especially the top ones) will come out and they get stretched out too(looked more straight rather than a screw) . I see this as a potential hazard for the cats because they might think it’s a toy and play with it and then end up hurting themselves.Once all the screws have been stretched and taken out, I fear this won’t be as useful anymore. Maybe check somewhere else first before buying?

Was a bit concerned bc of some comments, but this worked great for our 2 cats. Still working after 6 months!

It’s working so far, and I appreciate the inclusion of both a Velcro backing and upholstery pins.

No trae algo que ayude a que se quede en el sillón a menos que tengas algo de Velcro ya puesto en el mismo, lo uso en el piso porque no lo pude instalar bien
