Cool World - Collector's Edition [Blu-ray]

I love this movie. It’s one of those movies that as a 23 year old, makes me feel like I'm cool cause i know the inside joke. It’s definitely not a movie for children, so I wouldn’t recommend letting your 6 or 7 year old watch it, but hey, to each their own. The blend of animation with reality is actually pretty damn good given when the movie came out, and the fact that it’s literally a cult classic is enough to sell the film alone. Miss. Hollywood inspired a lot of blondes and (SPOLIER ALERT ‼️ LOOK AWAY IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED IT) Brad Pitt turning into a character himself *chefs kiss. I’m a fan of the goons, i’m a fan of the lore, and honestly i wish we’d gotten more. That said, watch it with friends and turn it into a drinking game (trust me you’ll find a way), get stoned order takeout and veg while the cool world colors take you away, or watch it sober as hell and attempt to wrap your mind around why this flick has you glued to your seat, shaking your head, and dropping your jaw!

One of my top fav animated movies a real cult classic must have in any collection blue ray brings it to another level

One of the best

I love a Bakshi revival. Great ensemble.

As a fan of classic animation and wacky comedies, I was excited to finally watch "Cool World" on DVD. The film, which was released in 1992, combines live-action and animation in a surreal, adult-oriented story that feels like a wild acid trip. Directed by Ralph Bakshi, known for his edgy and irreverent animated films, "Cool World" tells the story of Jack Deebs (Gabriel Byrne), a cartoonist who is serving time in prison for killing a man. In his mind, he creates a fantasy world called Cool World, populated by sexy cartoon characters that he can't resist. When he is unexpectedly transported to Cool World, he discovers that he can interact with his creations in ways he never imagined. The film features an impressive cast of actors, including Brad Pitt, who plays a rebellious cartoon character named Frank Harris, and Kim Basinger, who portrays the seductive and dangerous cartoon vixen, Holli Would. The chemistry between Pitt and Basinger is electric, and their scenes together are some of the film's highlights. While the plot of "Cool World" is far from perfect and can be confusing at times, it's the film's animation that really steals the show. The animation is vibrant, colorful, and full of life, and it perfectly captures the zany and off-the-wall tone of the film. Overall, "Cool World" is a fun, wild ride that is perfect for fans of unconventional animated films. The DVD transfer is crisp and clear, and the special features provide a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film. I highly recommend this DVD to anyone looking for a unique and entertaining viewing experience.

Ralph Bakshi animation story with Kim Basinger, Gabriel Byrne and Brad Pitt (as Brad Pitt). Mikie likes it.

I came across this little jewel while searching for animated movies. It was on cable once and had a fine impression on me. Somewhere between children and adult it stimulates a fantasy where reality is not all what it seems. Somewhere in an alternative universe there exist a race of perverse cartoons, the ultimate 'toon being Holli Would (Kim Basinger). Gabriel Byrne, a cartoonist and convict serving time in our reality thinks he has created 'Cool World'. And Holli is the woman of his dreams in both worlds. Also, Brad Pitt turns up as the local cop in an unbelievably riotous spin through this cartoon land. The animation and live action blends favorably to a fantasy right on the edge. With it is an electronica soundtrack with a driving beat throughout. Make this a trip to the other side of our life.

If your an adult but like who framed roger rabbit. You'll love this movie.

Awesome! Weird wacky '90s movie I remember watching this when I was like 5 or 6 years old. Probably shouldn't have been watching something like this as a kid but man those were the good old days. Nobody really monitored or cared about what kids were watching or at least my parents didn't lol Oh yeah, just a side note this is definitely a bootleg copy but still good 👍
