Value for money
A very reliable & compact router from Linksys. It behaved a bit erratic for a day when I enabled the MAC address filtering, but then resolved it on it's own. Overall satisfied.

Solved my Wireless problems
We moved to wireless a year ago with Virgin Media and got their Netgear router which gave us nothing but problems (even got a replacement which still cut out on a regular basis). Virtually every day we were having to switch the router and/or modem on and off and move the router around to get it to work. As anyone who has ever used Virgin media will know, their support is next to worthless but I was reluctant to buy a different router as Netgear had had quite good reviews. In the end I was out of options though so I decided to try this one and have never looked back. It wasn't too hard to set up. I just used the same passwords as with the old router and after a bit of messing around (I'm no expert on this type of thing) we got the router to connect. From then on there have been virtually no problems. Maybe once every now and again the connection goes out and I have to disconnect the power on the modem and router, reconnect the modem, wait until it is reconnected and then reconnect the router- this has never failed to get it working again. It's great to have a reliable router now and I thoroughly recommend it.

Very misleading description and poor poor delivery
The description said ALL IN ONE. Well its not so at all. You need to have the cable modem. I had assumed ALL in ONE means what it says, but no, not this.Delivery was atrocious. Quick but delivered to the wrong address and just left outside the front door in full view of the public who could have easily decided to 'check' whats in the box. Luckily for me it was not stolen and the person decided to 'deliver' it to me himself. Very decent of him.All in all, poor description of the item and very poor delivery. My rating of the item relates to its description and delivery and not to its functionality.

Dodgy software
We had to upgrade the software as it refused to work with Virgin broadband. Works fine now

Geat product... shame about the resets
This is a great product, mine is fitted with an external antenna, giving in that extra boost and it works a treat without the antenna too, giving about a 7-9 meter range outdoors and 6 indoors.Unfortunately, both of the WRT54GC routers I have owned have had one single problem... this is that: when working as an access point (connected through another router) it has serious trouble identifying and changing it's DNS settings when the other router is reset or when any cable leading to the WRT54GC is changed. This means that you constantly have to reset the wireless access point to make it transmit new DNS settings.Apart from this, it is the best wireless router I have ever used. If you inted to use it as a router... this is the one to go for. Just be wary if you intend to use it as an access point.

Tiny but does the job very well
Bought this to replace a Belkin which constantly kept dropping the connection. This router is extremely compact but does the job perfectly - set up took a little longer than I expected as I had to do stuff with MAC addresses but the online instructions were absolutely idiot proof so it was up and working first time. I've been using it for 2 weeks now and not had to reset it once - my daughter even streams online TV programmes wirelessly to another room without any problems at all. For the money I think this is a great product.

Excellent, small wireless router
This router is tiny, and is easily hidden away from view, and works well with Telewest cable set ups.Set-up was a doddle : Switch everything off, connect everything, switch on the router, then the modem, then the computer and everything autoconfigured flawlessly.I'm accessing the 'net from a laptop wirelessly, have a wireless webcam, and a wired X-Box all working in harmony with minimal setting-up.Transmission and reception is very good, far better than my old Netgear DG834G ADSL Router, even through proper brick walls. My only gripes are that there's no manual included in the box, not even a slim basics leaflet and that the LED's interfere with one another, making it difficult to make out which are illuminated in subued lighting.Overall and excellent product.

effortless setup, much faster than the Belkin it replaced
Wow - I have had many linksys routers and I have never been disappointed, and this is no exception. I had a basic Belkin wireless G Router for the last 9 months, and it has been quite flakey ever since I plugged in a second hardwired device to it: it crashed every night, lights turned amber from green, power boot was required, etc. Belkin admits there are problems with this router and they may be sending me a new one. But I had already ordered the linksys. But now I have it I can see that it is a lot faster. I have two wireless macs connected to and they can now transfer files at a rate of about 1.8Mb/sec. That's 1.8M bytes/sec upstream from one mac and another 1.8M bytes/sec downstream to the other mac, which is 3.6M bytes/sec which is about 36Mbits/second, which is not bad for a system rated at 54Mbits/sec. Much faster.Let's just hope it stays up 24/7 like it's supposed to!The only setup issue I had was that it shared the same network (192.168.1) as my cable modem, so I couldn't get onto the internet. Once I guessed that was the problem and changed the LAN address to 192.168.0.1 everything just started working again.
