Not easy to pop out mini cubes
On the positive side, the set is really nice. You get a plastic container with a lid which fits the ice cube trays exactly for storage. The first negative I noticed was that the ice cube trays are coated with a weird film. I tried to wash it with soap and water but it wouldn’t come off. It left a scary slimy film in my beverage. The other negative was that it’s not easy to pop out the ice cubes which was not surprising. If you’re willing to do the work to get the cubes out of the trays then it’s worth it. You can make multiple trays and empty them into the container and get it over with. I love the mini ice cubes. Hoping that weird film will go away with multiple washings.

Hard to get cubes out
Not easy to get ice out. Very time consuming

Cracked container
The molds and the scoop are exactly what I needed and the container to hold the ice would have been perfect for my mini fridge. However just like a bunch of other reviews my container came cracked. The package was shipped in a shipping bag with no extra bubble wrap or padding instead of a box. I would have returned it but I’m not guaranteed it won’t happen again and I don’t have much time before my event to wait for a return. Instead I will be buying another container of similar size and still enjoying my molds and scoop.

Love the small ice cubes but they are tough to get out of the tray.
The small ice cubes are great for my blendjet but you have to work to get the cubes out of the tray. It involves twisting and folding to get them out.

Not the easiest way to get tiny ice cubes
I love tiny ice so when I saw this I thought perfect! When I received it I was excited to use it and loved it came with a scoop and bucket. I didn't like that it is super irritating to fill up with water, it goes every where and feels wasteful. It also had some type of residue on the first use even after washing and drying them. When it was time to take out the cubes it was not easy. I twisted, turned, and even shook it and the only way I found to take them all out was to individually press the back of each cube. Incredibly time-consuming. I went back to buying bagged ice.

This is really cool sized ice, but...
First thing first, this is really cool ice, but omg what a pain in the -ss to get it out of the tray and into a container. Yeah, I thought it might be a little tedious, but this goes way beyond tedious. The holes, some 180 of them in each tray, have to be filled just right to make sure there aren't air bubbles in them when you fill them, then it takes a lot of space to lay them out, because if you stack them, you will squeeze water out of each one, creating a mess. When it's time to take the ice out, you have to twist and wring the silicone at every angle while you pick the ice out, or if you're lucky, about half of them will fall out as you are wringing, rolling, and contorting the trays, that are about like a thick rubber band. As you are plucking them out with the little scooper, or whatever you use, there will be at least a few that fling themselves out as they finally release their surly bonds to the the tray and pepper the floor with wet spots where they land... And you wonder, as you see 90% of the cube sticking out of the hole, how that little piece is still holding on so strong. About halfway through the trays, and you realize your fingers are starting to burn from the frostbite of handling so much cold stuff... Yeah, I just came back from playing the game with them... How could you tell? Yes, I love the cold beverage I am currently enjoying with the cute little cubes, but really, they need some sort of dislodging tool to press all 180 holes inside out from behind at one time...

Too much trouble
My wife really like small ice cubes so I got her this. Here is why I really don’t like these. First off please don’t use tap water. Tap water, no matter how clean you think it is, it is not. The plastic pipes used in modern homes and the aged metal pipes leading up to your home (and elsewhere) are all in bad shape. Not too mention they leach metals, chemicals and plastics into your water. We fill up water from the filter machines into glass carboys (3 gallon jugs). This is best for having clean liking ice with no word flakes when frozen in these molds. Filling them is a chore. The water likes to hit one and splash out if too much at once. Then, as much as you aim and pour, it’s hard to get everyone to fill. So of course you have much spillage and this makes people want to use the faucet more. I place one inside the container they came with, pour and fill them. Then I lift that mold out, set it aside and pour the extra water back into my small pouring pitcher. I repeat this with all the rest. You would be surprised how the water wants to stay in the cube mold even when you tip it at a sharp angle. This makes it easy to lift out and set aside so no water is lost. The bad thing is that no water wants to easily pour out and most times they are either chock full or even over filled with the water looking like a raised bead due to surface tension of water on silicone. The reason this is bad is because of stacking. I don’t have room to lay them all flat in the freezer plus I want to stack them all inside the clear container and let them freeze. I want to use the container so they don’t get any freezer smell/taste into the ice. Being stacked, they tend to take longer to freeze since they insulate each other but we are in no rush for them. Once we take them out they are frozen to each other so a little effort to separate them. Then the chore of removing the ice from the molds. Some may fall out when you twist and sharp bend the molds but many do not. You have to do it a few times and some you have to practically push your finger on the backside to force one out. You have to keep flipping the mold over to see if you got them all and going at it again till they are out. Meanwhile the ones in the tray are ever so slightly melting. At fist you think it’s no big deal but after a few more trays you can tip the container and pour out melted ice. By the time you are done and pour out melted ice, you always end up with moisture on each cube. When you place the lid on the container and back in the freezer they all stick to each other as they refreeze. Then when you take them out you have to violently shake the container to break them up but still end up with a bunch of small cubes stuck together. This defeats the purpose of making small ice cubes. The only good things is that as they melt in your drink they do tend to separate. They also don’t make much, even though it seems like a lot at first. You could wash only fill up two tall glass of ice for your drink and out. I don’t know if I will use them again after doing this process 4 times in the past few weeks. I may clean out my mini fridge that has a separate freezer door. Lay them all out in there and see if they freeze quicker and have no taste. Maybe put the baking soda in there as well to absorb odors. Maybe use the filtered water right out of the glass electric kettle as they say freshly boiled water freezes better. That’s more for clear ice look but maybe it slows them to come out of the molds easier and not melt as quick while doing the process. Having a separate container to pop them out into and then into the other container I constantly keep in the freezer might help with melting and sticking also. Like I said in the title, too much trouble. Makes me want to just spend hundreds for a mini ice cube machine but all those have plastic tank and molds and we try to limit out plastic contact. (Yes I know I am using the cheap plastic tub that came with these but that was only drying this trial period. I use plastic food containers with their lids that we have plenty off (after tossing out all the plastic containers 20 years ago).

There is better options
The round tray is smaller and seal isn’t very tight and leaks. Square tray was good. Ensure to wash thoroughly as there was still black rubber in one ice cube that must have been from the mold. Low quality.

Perfect Size
Great cube trays & perfect size to keep drinks cold without melting too quickly & diluting your drink. I loved the first set so much, I immediately ordered a second set. Highly recommend. The square trays are really flexible & spill easily when filled so suggest using them inside a sturdier plastic container to keep them in-place while freezing.

Hard to use
Flimsy and hard to use. The round moods are nearly impossible to fill and move to freezer. I’ve used several different types these were not good.
