I bought this to crush pills to mix into my pet's food. It's small but mighty, effective and elegant. It's also durable and can go into the dishwasher.

This is just what I love. A great but inexpensive product. This simple product has great design. This simple product has great function. And this simple product has a 195O's price. The mortar is nice and low to the ground so it won't ever tip over. The Pestle is small... but big and fat. It simply crushes everything. The design is also beautiful in its simplicity and extremely solid in its construction. I bought it for large solid pills which I am having trouble swallowing for some reason. These crush those perfectly. It might not be big enough for a large Mexican dinner... but for smaller portions it is simply ideal. And only 1O dollars. What a great deal for a great product. I am a very happy consumer.

I bought this to crush my cat's steroid pills to put on his food. Love the size, the ease of use, its shape as well as the fact it fits right in on the counter - does not take up much space and looks nice. However, my one "not perfect" issue is the non-ceramic bottom. I know it is not ceramic to help with grip while crushing but then the white powder of the pill just clings and it hard to get all of it off the pestle and from the mortar. I knew this when I bought it, but had hoped a smoother bottom surface would work better than the grooved surface of my other mortar. But - honestly if that is my only complaint it's a small one!

Really happy with this purchase! Bought this for grinding large pills for my 65lb. American Staffordshire Terrier. She will not take them. This little mortar and pestle grinds them up quickly and evenly with little effort. Now we can mix them in with her food and she gets her medicine!Very comfortable in the hand. It doesn't take up much space. It is heavy and solid for it's size. Easily cleans with mild dish soap. I haven't tried it in the dishwasher. It is a nice bright white and is actually very cute sitting on the kitchen counter. I do wish it came with a little brush for getting all the fine powder out, but that's about the only negative I can think of. Really nice for small tasks!! I highly recommend after shopping extensively and returning another.

I got this to help me get meds into my dog who will not swallow a pill whole. this works so great, grinds tablets up without everything going flying. love it. (and easy to clean)
