2Pcs HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor Module for Arduino (with Mounting Bracket)

Worked really well for my latest Halloween prop! Takes a bit of tuning on distance and frequency of updates, but otherwise great for any solution that requires a simple distance sensor. Definitely a value for the money!

I needed some Ultrasonic sensors for a project and these fit the bill quite nicely. They are no different than most other SR04 series sensors and they worked fine. I picked these because of the included brackets. Unfortuneately, they are the weak point of this item. They are just laser cut acrylc and they are pretty short. The fit was extremely tight and I was sure I was going to break the sensor trying to use the bracket. I ended up 3D printing my own bracket (there are quite alot out there). So if you are looking at this as a great package, just buy the sensors themselves and make your own bracket.

I found it to be relatively easy to set up and install. However, I have noticed that the readings can be quite inconsistent and can give off false measurements for anything further than 3 meters. While the sensor works well for shorter distances, it can be unreliable for longer distances. It's important to keep this in mind when using the sensor for projects that require accurate distance measurements. Overall, the HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor Module is a decent product that works well for shorter distances. However, if you need more accuracy over longer distances, it might be worth considering a different sensor. I used it with a NodeMCU Arduino board to detect when my car is in the garage.
