Buried
Missing and murdered young women in the Welsh idle of Anglesey. Two bodies, still two unaccounted for.DIs Gareth Williams and Laura Hart are in charge of CID Beaumaris. Gareth is team leader.. This latest case has them stumped, the bodies had been found in the beach, buried up to their necks, just their heads exposed. Few forensics, fewer clues, they need to stop this killer, assuming the other two girls has suffered the same fate, Anglesey now had its very own serial killer and not the vaguest idea where to look for him or her.The book moved at a fast paced and no boring bits, fillers or packing. The pace continues throughout, whether thermal imaging helicopters, open motor boats, cold water swimming or interrogating suspects, all are in context and not a flight of fantasy.Simon McCleave has quickly become a favourite author, his characters are believable, whether hero or villain, sometimes a combination of both,

Loved it!
This is the third book of what will be a series of four. I originally found it on the library app and the word Anglesey on the cover, grabbed my attention. The thing I really liked about Blood on the Shore is that it has two investigations. The main one, a hunt for the serial killer, plus an underlying case that runs through all of the books.Detective Inspector Laura Hart is looking into the death of her husband a few years ago. That one takes a few twists and interesting turns. Meanwhile, the current murders are hair raising and nightmarish. I could barely put the book down. My heart was in my mouth most of the time and I constantly needed to know what happened next. What I didn’t like as much was the little errors. At one point Laura was called Lorraine, the name of another character.Overall, it didn’t matter. The reader can work it out, like I did. The plot is brilliant, the characters are believable, and it’s so expertly written, it hardly matters.

Another good read
I've read a few of these and always enjoy them. It's a bit formulaic but there's enough twist and turns to keep you engaged.

A gripping fast moving thriller.
Simon McCleave has done it again!A very tense read that I found hard to put down, and really wished I could have read it without any breaks. Twice during the case I thought the case was solved so what's going to happen in the rest of the book and it quickly moved to another level. He always comes up with nasty villains, but this is perhaps the nastiest one yet, a complete psychopath. The descriptions of the landscape and geography are very well described, showing great empathy for Anglesey by the author.Teasers about or a d character Laura Hart's time with Manchester Police are scattered throughout the and no doubt we'll learn more of that in the next book.

Yet another thrilling read
The 3rd book in this intriguing series starring Laura and Gareth. Another great plot and what a fantastic thrilling ending. I read the last third of the book in one session. I literally couldn’t turn off the light until I had finished the book. Can’t wait for episode 4 due in January 24.

Another great read!
Laura and Gareth have puzzling murders to solve. As normal they give their all to get to the murderer, who is twisted to say the least. Great story, fast pacing and keeps you in suspense to the last. But is Laura getting closer to finding out what happened to Sam?

Last in set of 3 all very good read's
My Daughter bought me the middle of the three books in this set and have read them all now and working my way through the Ruth Hunter books. A very good writer I hadn't heard of but didn't read much but have enjoyed around six of his books to date and plan to read more

Brilliant series
Another very good installment in this series . I enjoy the fact that it is set on Anglesey . Also that there are two storylines , the current mystery and the ongoing history of the death of Laura's husband which does make you want to read the next installment !
