Java Press Delivers!
I purchased the 30 oz Java Press for a camping trip last week. I can do without a lot while tent camping with my large family but having a really good cup of coffee in the morning makes it infinitely more bearable, for me *and* those that have to be around me. And to make it extra wonderful I purchased a small stainless manual grinder to go with it. I figured the extra 6 bucks was a small price to pay to make a really great cup of coffee.First, I read the instructions, then washed everything thoroughly and let it air dry. Next, I tested it at home to make sure I knew how to use it. It was awesome! It made really good coffee. A little different tasting than my drip coffeemaker but still really good. The fine mesh screen means no having to buy or store coffee filters. If you grind the coffee too finely you will get a coffee "silt" on the bottom but no floating grounds. An easy rinse with hot water and you're ready for the next day. If you fill it too full it will drbible coffee down the front. No worries, as the neoprene sleeve washes up perfectly with a drop of soap and hot water. I didn't bother washing it until I came home and it cleaned right up.My Java Press came with the cloth handle on the neoprene sleeve instead of the plastic handle as pictured. I actually liked mine better because it took less room to pack. I didn't measure the exact amount of coffee it made but I'd guess around 20 to 24 oz of drinkabe coffee.I'll be keeping this nifty gadget handy for days when I don't want to make a full pot of coffee with my regular coffeemaker or in case of a power outage. It's fun and useful too!As a sidenote, I did *not* get free product or get paid for this review. I just really, really loved it! :)

Buy this and a hand grinder and never be without amazing fresh coffee
I bought this for an upcoming camping trip and now I could care less if I actually get to use it there. I tested it one day just to see if it worked and now every day it comes with me to work even using it as the "Mug" Its easy to use durable and the heat shielding is amazing. I got the version with the cloth strap not the plastic handle and I am super happy about it. Easy to use and microwave safe "with the top removed obviously" But I am sold and love this device. I add my ground coffee and sugar before I leave for the gym toss it in the car, get to work fill with water microwave for 3 mins and instant amazing fresh coffee. Its big enough for two people easily and I find myself only needing to brew a single "pot" for my entire day. Stays warm for longer then expected and has so far exceeded every expecation. Will post an update once it comes home with me from two weeks in Costa Rica.UPDATE AS PROMISEDLOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT, made the Costa Rica trip without issues and I was very impressed with how well it held the heat in and kept my coffee perfect for longer periods during travel. I found the volume more then enough for me and my companion and instead of carrying cups we drank directly from it without issue. I love that the handle is cloth and is a bit snug makes it feel secure, easy to wash and just very happy with it. Gave up coffee while at home so its sitting in the travel kit but will be in rotation again as it simply does its job very well and there is something special about that. The seal is nice and tight I never had an issue with little grounds in my coffee as I have heard were issues with other travel french presses and the build quality is way up there for the money.

I Am a Traveler
I needed a travel solution for good coffee. Coffee on the road can be spotty at best, and the only real option that is consistent is StarB***s and I am not a fan. Being a coffee snob I wanted a solution that I could put in my carry-on along with my coffee and such and this works great. I travel with an overhead carry-on (21") as well as a shoulder bag. I can pack this along with a weeks worth of clothing as well as all of my electronics and a projector. Great tool and easy to use!

From Impulse buy to Life saver.
let me say this was an impulse buy for me when I was looking for camping gear.... Now let me tell you the truth about it. I love it and my friends love me for it. Recently did a Guadalupe camping river float trip, which wasn't the reason why I bought this french press. After a day and night of heavy drinking on the river, I wake up and roll out of my tent and immediately fire up some boiling water in a pot. Put a few scoops of freshly ground coffee (right before I left for trip) at the bottom, pour the water, stir, let it sit for a few minutes, and voila, great tasting coffee. Now It was originally just for me to drink, but a lot of people apparently wanted coffee, you know the ones that don't come prepared. Well I did like 3 fill-ups that morning with it. It sucks rinsing out the coffee grounds, but hey its a french press. I had my coffee which tasted great and I was in a better mood because of it! :o)

Pretty Good
I like this product, however the negatives I have are not due to this product (mostly) rather the process of French Press Coffee brewing.I bought this for low-impact camping, aka, Boondocking where don’t have access to clean water (I pack my own water).Follow the procedure and makes great coffee. My negatives are in the clean-up—-have to basically wash the entire thing get all the used grounds out. When you are in places without running water have to use what you brought.Otherwise, makes really good coffee.Tends to seep a bit on the pour, so get coffee in your cup but also coffee down the sleeve and all over your pants.Easy to clean, just need lots of water.I recommend this product, just be careful pouring and cleaning up.

It's necessary.
I bought this for my bf a little over two years ago for camping. We've used it backpacking and camping. He liked it so much that he was solely using it in the house bc the coffee maker at the time was crap. He's really tickled to have this camping. He really needs his coffee and those instant packets weren't cutting it. Funny taste. He'll grind up Starbucks beans at home before we head out and it's great. Sometimes he keeps the insulating sleeve on and sometimes he's had it off. It says it makes 4 cups of coffee, but I think we get maybe 3 mugs worth. One and a half camping mugs full per 2 people. I'd say no complaints here. 👍👌

Funktioniert wirklich gut, in unserem Campingequipment mittlerweile unverzichtbar.
