Absolutely sturdy
Before I had this, I tried to get out of bed at night while half-asleep and fell out of bed onto the floor. The ambulance took me to the emergency room. So I bought this 2 inch stepstool and it worked so well I bought 2 more for armchair and bathroom. I am 5 ft 4 inches tall.

Just the right size to use on my back porch. I'm short so I am always jumping up to get in door.Step is just 3 1/2 inches. What a difference it made. Love it.
