Extremely picky dwarf bunny approved!
Have been trying for 3 years now to get this bunny to eat hay & he absolutely refuses, until now. Opened this first bag up and he ripped the first piece right out of my hands before I could offer it to him! It's beautiful hay grass. Stick straight so easy to provide to encourage him to eat & not messy, beautiful color/smell - so fresh, fragrant, and excellent tasting. I can vouch for this, I munched on a few strands myself, and it is very tasty. If you ordered 2.2 lb package, when you get the package it is so super sealed that at first you may think it's only 1.1 lb that you received because you'll see the label says that, but once you cut the seal on the bag inside are 2 individual bags. I had called in a huff thinking a mistake was made. It was my bad and had to call amazon back to apologize LOL. Yes, it seems a little pricey, but if you're at your wits end or just want to give a really nice treat to your bunny I think it's well worth every penny!

So fresh I would eat it if I could
I've purchased this product several times now for our chinchillas. I switched after noticing the quality of my former boxed hay product degrading into small, colorless fragments of sort of looked like grass. When I first purchased this many months ago and offered it to our chinchillas, it was like a party! Then, when we took care of a dear friend's bunnies while she was on vacation, I made the mistake of giving her bunnies some of this and they absolutely inhaled this fresh, green grass that is efficiently vacuum packed. (The little bag of additional treats that comes with the product is a very nice touch.) They then ignored the big bag of grass that she had already purchased for them. I think our friendship will survive and our little addicted creatures will need to form a support group if/when they will need to go back to ordinary hay.

Excellent heat-dried hay, but wish company was more transparent
The vet put one of my guinea pigs on a special diet due to slow intestinall motility - she can't have any fresh foods like fruits and veggies. So I set out to find a product like "Readigrass" which they have in the UK. This is exactly what I was looking for. It's fresh enough to convince my piggy she is not being deprived, but it's dried so she can have it on her diet.I don't like buying pet products from random companies from China because I fear lack of regulations resulting in chemical contamination, etc. but so far nothing bad has happened, product smells fresh and unadulterated. Other reviewers say the same. Just a great product that we don't usually have access to in the US.

Fresh and green
My rabbit is very picky on grass, I tried a lot of brand, this is the best one so far I found.

My Bunny Loves This Hay!
I have had my bunny for four years and he has always hated his hay. He only would eat it if there was nothing else. I have bought him every variety of hay possible. I couldn’t believe my eyes when he was eating this hay with enthusiasm! Thank you, Ohcool!

Something weird about this stuff
I’m familiar with field to air-dried hay from a company that tried to get this going in this country some years ago, so I thought I’d see what this version was like. It looked nice and green - as it should based on using rapid drying straight off the field - but …it smelled very, very weird: a strong very strange chemical kind of smell. And it was SO dry it was very brittle. Perhaps it was LREADY QUITE OLD. The hay had grown very tall and very very skinny so there was a long section of bone dry yellow-green stem and a section of very long thin, dry but bright green leaf with long thin seed heads. I suggest cutting the very long strands not break them, to get servings into a manageable form or you’ll end up with nothing but a pile of fragments. My guys ate the leaf but ignored the stem and the heads - both of which they will eat eagerly if those are fresh and tasty. That makes this hay even more expensive because you’re tossing out a big percent of what you buy.But the real deciding factor for my rating is that they all got smelly loose poops the day after eating this. I mean like an evil smelling mush all over their butts, just awful I double checked that the cause was this hay not something else by removing this stuff completely, and feeding them other hay until they’d had normal poops for a week, and then giving them this again to see what would happen. Which was exactly the same as before: smelly poopy butts all round.Without doing expensive lab tests I don’t know why they had this response to this lot of this product. But a rabbit’s GI system health is so crucial for their well being that we’re crossing this off the hay option list for us. It’s a pity. Rapid air dried hay is a super idea. This version not so much. Also note that it’s non-returnable.

Bunnies love it
We were buying the bagged cross cut hay. It has a lot of hay dust and our lion head was sneezing a lot. Switched to this and no sneezing. They love it and eat it up.
