This along with the Ultimate cupholders are THE BEST cupholders for an E39. However, this one takes it to a whole new level. Materials match 100% with the plastics in the e39. It really looks OEM. Mind you, it will not fit a 20oz Yeti tumbler, but it will fit anything else like soda cans, fast food cups, narrower cups. This is mostly due to the space available. It maximized the space available to give you the biggest diameter possible while fitting in this space. It uses the tracks of the existing cubby and the flexible door's sliding tracks for install and the result is outstanding. Truly a marvel of engineering. If you are looking for a cup holder solution (and if you have on of these cars YOU DEFINITELY are), then you need to buy this. Full stop. I bought one for each car, and I love it. I also recommend buying through amazon... When I bought through their website the package came open and one cup holder missing. Then Amazon lost my package for the replacement one, but because it is Amazon, their customer service quickly replaced and shipped overnight. So it was nice to have that amazon backup. Regarldess, Customer service on their website was also amazing! There is no way to give this product, the customer service and communication anything but 5 stars! BUY IT!

Great replacement for a part that is commonly broke on the older BMW , it gives better function for your older E39 BMW’s , extra drink holder is always a great option, it was hard to install but I’m a 50 yr old female and I got it installed after watching a couple videos and a couple try’s

When you consider that there is nothing in this world that will replace the E39 console compartment and hold an oversized mug, you see that this option is the best. It maximizes the space and installs and looks perfect. You just need to shop for a taller, thinner mug and the solution is perfect. It’s easy to modify the drink and enjoy this cup (and misc items) holder. Great value and highly recommended. Watch the install video a bunch of times, and it will be very easy to install. I had no problems at all.

People will complain about the e39’s stock cup holders which look pretty flimsy and shallow, so this product will give you at least one cup holder that’ll give you confidence in keeping at least one cup of coffee near you, without fear of spilling, on a spirited drive. If you still own one of these cars, you likely enjoy driving and this cup holder is hilariously and honestly a net increase for your overall driving enjoyment. Install was super easy.

Finally a cupholder that holds regular drinks securely. You can’t tell that’s its aftermarket, looks like it was made this way from the factory (it should’ve been). It doesn’t hold wide drinks, but water bottles and soda cans fit perfectly. A standard small iced coffee works too. Took longer to install than I would’ve hoped, but watching the video does help. Go ahead and buy this one!
