Franke FWDJ125 Disposer, 16 x 9 x 12.5, Silver

I have two in my kitchen sinks, one at the prep area and one at the cleaning area. They are the best grinders that I have ever installed in my kitchen. No problem to grind chicken bones. easily grinds any citrus rind or vegetable waste. very quiet operation for 1 1/4 hp units.

I wished I had replaced my crappy disposal with this Franke unit years ago. My last disposal could barely grind up rotting lemon peels while this Franke disposal will purée a freaking brick !If I could take it outside I bet it would grind out stumps in my front yard. I was amazed that this powerhouse of a unit fit underneath the prep sink in my kitchen island.

Extremely well-made. Capable of crushing gravel if you asked of it to do so. Quiet, absolutely highly recommended.A bargain it twice the price.

I'm fairly certain Franke is no longer in business. If they are, they don't seem to want anyone to know it. I have an older model of this disposal. It worked great for years but a part has gone bad and it no longer works. I called the number on their website and spent many many hours on hold but no one ever answered the phone. I tried emailing then with same result. Good luck reaching Franke if you ever have a warrant issue or a part failure.

it's quiet and works great with my new sink. love the magnetic ring to keep any silverware going down into the disposal.

Design; quiet motor; very effective

This disposal is so powerful! (We did open the rubber gasket a little bigger with scissors to get food down more easily-- and the gasket, btw, is removable for cleaning! The power of this thing is so strong it ground up a large wedding ring into nothingness (we thought it was just a bone or something). Fortunately, it was a temporary ring, bought in a larger size to go over a finger injury and no longer needed after hand surgery. We couldn't believe it when we realized it was the ring, gone from the window sill. I kept the husband. ;)
