Have you bought something that turned out to be way better than you expected? I love to buy gadgets, even though mostly they turn out to be cheap, shoddily made disappointments. Not so here. This magnifying glass is EXCELLENT. The makers have thought of everything that I might need and supplied it. For many years, I've kept a cheap dollar-store magnifying glass at my desk for small print. A few weeks ago, I went to read the fine print on a coupon, and could not make it out. I hauled out my el cheapo magnifying glass, only to find it so scratched-up and lousy that it didn't help at all. So, I went to Amazon to find a good one. Boy, did I find a good one. I bought this one. The glass portion is clear and strong. The LCD lights you can turn on to brighten up the target of your magnifying work perfectly. It comes with a 10X lens you can pop in to replace the larger 5X lens if needed. And--an evidence that they've thought of everything to make this magnifier a long-term satisfier--they've provided a soft draw-string pouch to keep it from getting all scratched up. I predict that this one magnifying glass will serve my needs for the rest of my life. I'll have to change the batteries for the lights now and again, but that's all. I heartily recommend this magnifying glass.

Wow!!! I was just shopping for a regular ol' magnifying glass for general use -- when I ran across this one and could see how cool it is and what others were saying, I bought it. It's so great that it turned me into a giddy schoolboy -- I've showed a couple neighbors, took it to the office to show the staff and shot a little video for folks farther away. Yeah, I'm a grown man, but that's the truth. "Assembly" consists of simply clicking the handle into the lens portion (there are 2 lens strengths included) - the "click" is very solid; no forcing, no wobbling and no chance of it coming apart. It takes AAA batteries, so make sure you've got those on hand (you'll need 3 of them). If you're asking yourself why you'd need a magnifying glass with a light, I guess the answer is that maybe you don't. It's a great magnifying glass whether the light is used or not -- for me, I tend to sit in dim light (maybe watching a movie or relaxing in some other way) and it's so nice to be able to reach for this when I'm maybe trying to read the back of a box or whatever happens to catch my interest. Honestly, it's fantastic. Oh, and the owner/inventor sent such nice emails (the first one was probably a form, but a VERY nice one -- the two after that were emails he exchanged with me personally, so they weren't forms at all). With it being a tip-top and well thought out product and with the warmth on the part of the owner/inventor, I honestly feel very good and extremely satisfied when I look at it (or through it!).

Unlike a lot of the other reviewers, I paid full price for mine (the 2-lens version - 5x and 10x). Here's what I found:Pros:- The 5x lens is reasonably large and provides better magnification than most magnifying glasses.- The image is clear in the majority (center area) of the lens.- It's not too heavy.- The lighting is more than adequate and is evenly distributed.- It's fairly easy to change lenses.- Overall weight is comfortable in the hand and not tiring.Cons:- The image around the edges of the lens is somewhat distorted, although still legible.- Because of the magnification and the lens size, it needs to be held close to the page to be in focus.- Because of both of the above, you can only see a few words at a time.- The 10x lens is rather small, so you see quite a bit less at a time.- The batteries fit rather tightly, so inserting them or changing them is a little difficult (but not too bad).- The lenses fit a bit loosely, so they wobble a bit when you move the handle up & down. Not too bad, but noticeable. It's worse for the 5x lens because it's heavier, but not to the point of being a problem when actually using it.Overall, I am satisfied. It's comfortable in the hand, provides good, even illumination, and has very good magnification. Clarity is good within the majority of the viewing area. Worth the price.

The best company & product. Very rare these days to find a company where you receive a personalized email to let you know your product has been delivered & to personally thank you for your order & to feel free to get in touch with him if you had any questions or issues. So impressed I emailed him back to tell him how impressed I was. He was very appreciative, in his reply back and said his customers ARE his company, without them - no company. What a perfect world if all companies had the business ethics iMagnify has - I wish he made & sold EVERYTHING I'd only buy from them. But to confirm my good feelings about this company - needed to receive the magnifying glass. Glass came really quick - and all I can say is WOW! They score 100 + %. I tend to be a perfectionist & noticed all the attention to detail - the time taken to make every detail "just right", every aspect - right down to the polishing cloth - PERFECT! Easy to following instruction sheet / strong, solid construction - you see and feel the quality material used in the construction. Looks great - lenses switch out so easily and are absolutely perfect to see small, fine things with. You will be so happy if you choose iMagnify and this magnifying glass set. Thanks iMagnify - you should give lessons to other businesses on how to make a quality product and how to treat their customers. You are the best! Again, Thank you.
