Great gift idea for kids
Bought a few for a 9 year old’s birthday. The kid loves them, very simple instructions and construction. Great parent/child activity and opportunity to educate in a fun way.

We bought a variety of wooden knives, including two of these, for a family woodworking day. The little kids (aged 6, 6, &7) had great fun helping make them and the big kids (mom, dad, and 16 yo) enjoyed guiding them through the process. The kits we nicely made, attractive, and had clear instructions. The were just challenging to be fun without frustrating the little kids and they were completed quickly enough not to lose their attention. They were then lightly sanded and oiled.

This knife was such a blessing for my seven year old. He isn’t quite ready to have his own pocket knife like daddy or big brothers, but being able to build his own knife with his Papa was priceless! I’ll forever gift these knives for this age group! Great quality, adorable tin, easy build!

Great "starter knife" for a kid
I picked this up to help my 7 y/o son learn about knife safety. It was a lot of fun to assemble (and even taught me a thing or two about how locking blades work). On the advice of another reviewer, we sharpened it on a sanding block and practiced whittling a bar of soap! Really well made and a lot of fun!
