Love them!
Finally decided to join the upright rolling club and I don't know why I waited so long! Love these! Been a few trips and there's a lil stuff on the big one; but nothing stays new forever. Good buy

Really big (checked luggage)
We already have Samsonite luggage and travel by air a lot, which is why I went for more Samsonite luggage when we needed another suitcase to check for an upcoming trip.First, if you aren’t a well seasoned air traveler, let me tell you that the junky American Traveler suitcases do NOT hold up like these. So if you are debating brands, get this one.Second, if you are NOT debating brands and rather debating sizes, I will say I’m a little nervous about our purchase. We bought this 29” checked bag. I already had what I thought was the “large” checkable bag from Samsonite… see the black suitcase in the picture. This black suitcase can hold about exactly 50lbs when stuffed pretty full as long as you don’t go heavy on the bricks. For this reason, I absolutely loved this size. I have never had an issue with making it overweight, which is nice to not have to stress out about that. Our airline we fly with a lot has a weight limit of 55lbs and 62”. Unfortunately I must have some measuring problems, because this suitcase is a few inches too big. I’m not sure if we will have to pay extra for oversized luggage or not… In taking probably 100 flights in my life, I’ve only had an airline MEASURE (not weigh) luggage once… and it was hand luggage. And it was a maiden voyage.I think the size is very noticeable and awkward to move around. I think lifting is going to be rough. And even though we can pack 55lbs vs 50lbs, I think we wont be able to fill this very full, which is actually probably going to shorten its lifespan - getting crushed in transport etc. Fingers crossed this works out.UPDATE AFTER TRAVELING - this giant bag is great! Once again, our main airlines weight restriction is at 55lbs and we had no problems. We are getting ready to fly another airline that has a limit of 50lbs but no dimensional requirements so we are probably going to take this.

Suitcase
This is a great suitcase. Easy to roll. Holds a lot. And the color stands out from all the others going around the moving belt.😀

The handle is the best!
Ok, when you get down to it, the inside of a carry-on suitcase is pretty the same with every bag. There's only so much space to work with inside. It's the handle that matters to me. I have had such a hard time finding a suitcase handle that will stay put when I lower or raise the handle. This one has done what it should! I accidentally ordered two, the maroon one and a green one. I'm going to keep both. You always need extra suitcases!

Perfect for what I was looking for...
My first online suitcase purchase wasn't what I was looking for. Too small. Despite my best efforts trying to deduce which sizes are the maximum carry-on size, I messed up on my first attempt so changed up to this brand who got me there. It is the best suitcase I've ever had and have practiced some spinning moves when at the airport due to it's great maneuverability. Passes time nicely and I'm getting pretty good at my moves.

OVERSIZED for Air Travel – AVOID If You Fly!
I’m extremely disappointed with this suitcase. The Samsonite Ascella X 29-Inch model is too large to qualify as standard checked luggage for nearly every major airline, including Delta, American, and Southwest. The maximum size allowed for checked baggage is 62 linear inches (length + width + height), and this bag measures 64.2 inches. That means it’s automatically classified as “oversized” and subject to additional airline fees—often around $200 per bag.I unfortunately bought two of these without realizing this important detail. I assumed that a major luggage brand like Samsonite would design bags that actually comply with airline policies. I’m frustrated that they would even manufacture a “checked-luggage” suitcase that exceeds standard airline limits.Bottom line: if you plan to fly with this luggage, DO NOT BUY IT. Save yourself the surprise oversized baggage fees and the frustration I experienced. Samsonite should know better.

There’s nothing like Samsonite
Great investment. This is the second piece of Samsonite luggage that I’ve owned. These pieces stand the test of time, wear and tear… Remember the gorilla in the vintage commercials trying to break the Samsonite luggage? Turns out to be true, it’s very durable and attractive luggage that can take a serious beating by owners and baggage handlers (and still look and perform like new)… Love the multidirectional wheels, which I think is its best feature. The luggage comes in all sizes and most colors. I’ll be loyal to the brand for years to come.
