Komelon SL2812; 12' x 5/8" Self-Lock Tape Measure

This is a great general purpose tape measure. 25'The action is smooth and locks cleanly.The release works very well.It has a nice heavyweight feel to it. Good strong belt clip.The tape itself is wide and has all the measures, I prefer this style has whole inch measures up to 12 , then both inch and foot / inch measures after that. It is marked for 16" centers and has large whole foot marks. The tab adjusts as expected for inside and outside measurements.Very well thorugh out.

I have several of these in a variety of sizes and they are excellent, easy to find when set down and they have lasted me for years. Recently bought another after giving my parents one of mine.

These tape measures are the best, the self lock, push to unlock feature is ideal when working from a from a ladder or any other awkward position. Very inexpensive, bright green for easy spotting in a construction site, very well made.

A bought this for a coworker and it’s used daily. He loves it and I’ve worked along side him many times and it’s his go to. I’ve also used it and can say it’s clear to read and easy to control the tape.

I was measuring outside and did not notice that I was stretching the tape past 25 ft. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Apparently, once you do that, it will not retract. It says on the tape not to do what I did, but I was looking at what I was measuring, not the tape. I wish I would have known! I only took one star off because obviously I am at fault for not paying close enough attention. The one star off is just because I feel like it shouldn't break that easily.

This is a great tape measure, love the bright color so I don't lose it. Also, the button feature is awesome and I can easily measure things by myself. I also love the price!

Strong and heavy tape measure. The numbers on it are huge, very easy to read. The tape pulls out so smoothly and locks in place as it should. Best tape measure ever purchased

Lost my good $25 tape and decided not to do that again. For about $9, this 25' tape does a great job, The tape is over an inch wide and the numbers are easy to read. The tape locks in place every time you pull the tape out. The pushbutton to release it is well placed and operates easily. Never had a problem with it. Bought my last expensive tape measure.

I'm not sure if the self-locking mechanism was introduced by Komelon, but I'll never buy another tape again that doesn't have this feature. I am a professional carpenter and find it to be so much easier to use. They will wear out like any other tape measure, but the design makes them my go to brand now. I just bought six more to give to my carpenter/homeowner friends.

I love Komelon tapes. I grabbed this for my work bag as I travel for work. Light weight and just as sturdy as the bigger tapes without the bulk and weight. Lovely to use, smooth and does not jam.
