Sonoran Spice Ghost Pepper - Bhut Jolokia - Flakes 2 Oz

Some people do drugs, some people hurt themselves to feel like themselves, but Mega heat is not permanent damage and makes you and your food more delicious!Whenever I am eating a meal that tastes... off (burnt, badly cooked, etc.) I just dash some of this onto it and man! the improvement is immense! This brand makes absolutely delicious spice flakes. The store has a LOT of McCormack inexpensive spices like Crushed red pepper and the rest, but my stomach (which has been through a LOT) gets upset at them. This is like extremely clean, unpolluted, pure spice! I had finished my double sized bottle of Habanero from this brand and needed something more and this was it!I will finish this bottle and very soon, I will be ready for California Reaper. I am excited! This pepper is delicious and can make anything you cook delicious too

I'm not a huge fan of spicy food but my roommates thought my homemade salsa should have more of a kick. It gave my salsa a great flavor! Once the peppers had re-hydrated in the salsa there was no way I could eat it buy my roommates loved it.Being the antagonizer that I am, I took this along when my friends and I went to a pizza place. I have several friends that will never turn down a challenge so we had fun taking bets on who could eat more of this stuff. It was a bit painful just to watch but it certainly made for a memorable lunch!

I bought the Trader Joe's Smoked Ghost Pepper Grinder a year or so ago and fell in love with that smokey burn for everything I was eating. Sadly, I didn't buy 10 containers, only one and then ran out. So I've been looking for a replacement, smoked or not smoked. *This* product fits the bill! I am able to put the flakes in the grinder if I wanted a more fine grind or I just shake it out of the shaker.Bottom line: although these are not smoked (I wish they were), the heat is REAL and arguably hotter than the Trader Joe's product. This is not your average "feel it twice" burn... this is more like a "feel it three times" burn ;-) Love love love it!

"Gee Dad, these ghost pepper flakes aren't very hot and the jar seems to last forever.""Well Son, that's because the flakes are twice as big as the holes in the shaker."Seriously? Nobody could be bothered to check that the grind on the peppers was *smaller* than the holes in the shaker, not the other way around? Other than that, I enjoy them and eat them on everything, but only after reaming out the holes on the shaker. Minus one star for careless packaging.

For having bought this online, this ghost pepper spice is pretty good. However, it's not as spicy as other ghost pepper flakes we've tried.

I have a special grinder just for red peppers. I grind them up and put them on pizza, pasta, whatever. Grinding them seems to make them a bit hotter but that's besides the point. I bought these because regular crushed red peppers weren't doing it for me anymore. I got these things in the mail and pulled off the seal under the cap(away from my cat who seemed very interested in them). There was a fine dust on the underside of the seal so I decided it was fine to try the peppers that way.I licked my pinky finger, took a dab of the pepper dust, and put it on my tongue. The taste was a lot different than I expected, a strong, smoky flavor but not entirely great tasting. I suppose as a spice it would get the job done but it doesn't taste like jalapeno or peperencini or anything. About 5 seconds in, I experienced the most severe burning sensation in my mouth in my life. These things are crazy hot, not for the faint of heart, and after a few hours recollecting my experience, I've come to the conclusion that these peppers are a great way to ruin food. Certainly worth the money. Be very careful with these bad boys.

I've used this on pizza, noodles, and other foods. It is very spicy but not unbearable. A little will go a long way, so no need to bathe your food in the stuff. It also doesn't leave your mouth hot for long after a spicy meal. I can have a good spicy meal and not worry about being uncomfortably hot afterwards. Definitely recommended to spicy-food lovers.

This was just what I wanted for my spicy recipes. The flavor is great not too spicy that you can't enjoy the food. I would advise to be careful of how much you use.
