I hope I shouldn't have to say this, but considering that this is Amazon and the rope is labeled as a climbing rope, here I go:THIS IS A STATIC ROPE, IT WILL NOT STRETCH!!! THIS IS NOT A DYNAMIC ROPE!!! NOT FOR USE IN LEAD CLIMBING OR SPORT CLIMBING. IF YOU ARE ASCENDING USING THIS ROPE IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU MAY FALL MORE THAN A COUPLE INCHES, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FALL ARREST DEVICE WITH APPROPRIATE ELASTICITY TO SAFELY SLOW YOUR FALL. THIS ROPE WILL NOT STRETCH AND ABRUPTLY STOPPING YOUR FALL WITH THIS ROPE WILL LIKELY RESULT IN INJURY.With that put of the way, this is a great static rope. Used this rope multiple times for SRT ascent. Sheath has held up well to both Prusik and mechanical ascenders.Also been used for rigging to raise and lower loads without any issues.
