Philips L'OR BARISTA Sublime Coffee Capsule Machine by Philips, for Double or Single Capsule, Red (LM9012/50)

I’ve paid £62 but there were slightly cheaper options in the all black. First impressions are that the machine is easy to use (there’s only three buttons) and has a decent sized water tank. Love the flexibility to use the larger capsules as I’m a lungo or double lungo drinker. Looks good in the red/black combo. Size wise, it’s a fair bit bigger than my old Krups model but not massive.

These machines are great, and it is the second one I have ordered, this one being for a friend. The only disappointment was not receiving the sample coffees with it as I did with mine as it means you can try them all. I did quite a bit of online research before buying this one to make sure it suited my taste. So many coffees from other makers that you can try, but my favourite still goes back to the L'or Coffee. A full proper Americano can be made and it is really hot. Espresso slightly cooler, as thats the way its mean to be. The machine is easy to clean and looks smart on the counter. Previously had a much more expensive quality nespresso machine, but this one is so much better for the speed and varieties of coffee you can make. Really recommend this machine.

I've use Nespresso machines for years now and this is my fourth machine after the last one by Dualit only lasted about 14 months which was disappointing. However, this machine is a great replacement and I'd go as far to say it is the best I've had especially based on the price of the machine. I mainly use compatible capsules now and it has taken all that I've thrown at it with no issues as on one machine previously it didn't do so well with some brands. The coffee comes out nice and hot, but not too hot to taint the taste and the speed from button press to completion of coffee is pretty good. I like that it offers three sizes of coffee being that most machines only offer espresso and lungo where as this one does ristretto as well which is extra useful for a little top up to your coffee if it is a particularly strong one. It also takes a larger L'or capsule that basically doubles the size of the coffee. The larger capsules are only available from the L'or brand and a bit on the expensive side, but I did get a sample pack with the machine and they worked great. One thing of note though, the opening on top when in the up position to put in a capsule is quite high so you have to consider where you position the machine so that you are able to open it. Also be careful with the drip tray and it is a little flimsy and I don't think it would take much to damage it if dropped on a hard floor.

Great machine lovely colour great coffee but £20 pounds voucher needs a minimum of £50 pounds spend to redeem plus postage we have had trouble trying to order coffee using voucher! Got voucher code now and ordered some lovely new coffee to try what came with the machine is delicious 😋.

I bought this coffee maker for myself after staying in an Air B&B which had a small Nespresso machine. I’m so glad I did my research and read reviews as my wife and I found the Nespresso coffee maker made coffee that was warm and not hot. As the price of Phillips was only £60.00 for the red one it was a no brainer as we couldn’t find one close to the price. I can’t tell you enough how happy I am with this machine. Well built, sturdy and where you insert the capsules has been well engineered to last, so much better than the Nespresso. It came with Lor capsules which I haven’t used yet as we bought capsules from Lidls which are a lot cheaper and taste great. The machine is very easy to use and comes with easy to follow instructions visual instructions. The coffee comes out piping hot and it’s quiet too. It’s slim enough to fit easily in our small kitchen and I love the fact that the water reservoir can be fully removed to fill. It takes both large and standard original capsules with as I mentioned are freely available in supermarkets and online. It is definitely a machine that I feel is super valve for money and I would be still happy if I paid double the cost of the unit 😊👍

I had a Nespresso vertuo machine for a fair few years. Never had any issues but it was a pain ordering the capsules. They were never in any supermarkets either. The L'OR barista allows you to use Nespresso pods, L'OR pods and Xxl pods. All of these are readily available online, supermarkets and also a lot cheaper than the vertuo pods. I've used most features up to now with no issues. Coffee tastes great, a large water capacity and when summer arrives, an iced coffee feature. It's very easy to use as well, looks great and is a similar size to mose coffee machines on the market.
