READ THIS - It does the job
See the picture attached? This is a 130 year old solid GRANITE building with THIRTY INCH THICK walls. I've been dreading this job for months. We had to install exterior cameras on this building and that means a LOT of holes through pure granite. Not just "stone", not "rock" not "concrete" but freaking granite.I've burned up MANY bits in my SDS plus drill on this behemoth in recent years and I was considering outsourcing the job but decided it was time to upgrade to an SDS Max and the right bits.I purchased a new DeWalt cordless SDS Max hammer and two of these bits to start... I actually purchased these assuming they'd fail so I also bought a couple other much more expensive bits.My guys just called from the job site - one of these bits did 9 holes through thirty six inches of this granite wall and it's still going. I don't know how long until it's toasted, but I'm MORE than impressed with what I got out of it. I'm ordering more in other diameters as we speak!Buy it. Use it!

Working as desired and no issues - super worth the money
I bought this to use with rock wedges. I read some negative things that implied this bit isn’t up to the task.It is.Don’t push on it. Let the actual hammer drill do its job. Keep it cool. Use a small bottle and stop every few seconds to fill the hole with water. On old cement I used it on the standard hammer drill setting. I am using a Bosch SDS plus drill. It goes through like butter. Until it hits a rock, of course. This morning I drilled two holes into modern 3600 psi concrete. My driveway. That did slow it down. So I broke out a pointed chisel bit and set it to Hammer plus drill. Once that hole was well started using lots of water, I kept the same setting and switched to this drill bit, and that bit just went to town. With any tool taking this kind of abuse, you must treat it with some respect. Keep it cool. Don’t force it. Let the drill machine do the work.Mine is still going strong with several hours of use on it.

Bit is good, amazon shipping protection is garbage
I'm going to return the bit. I was shipped by amazon just wrapped in bubble wrap and was completely arched/bowed rendering it unusable and destroyed. I have purchased the same bit before in a larger size which they are awesome workhorses, I needed this smaller size to make punching through a 36inch masonry and adobe wall. Well now I have to wait again. The bubble wrap shipping amazon chose is totally unacceptable. They took away the shipping box review so I'm leaving my negative feedback here. Update: replacement bit came in today, this time it was shipped in a cardboard box fully protected. Bit was straight and ready to put in work! These masonry bits are fantastic. I'm changing my rating from 1 for the arched bubble wrapped bit to a 5 for the replacement properly shipped. Again my negative feedback was directed towards the shipping the bit themselves are superb.

Impressed
Made in Germany. Bought 3, only needed 1. Good price. No regrets. My Bosch SDS hammer drill needed a break before I could finish the job!

Works in dense Basalt boulders.
We needed to drill holes into extremely dense basalt boulders in order to install survey benchmarks. Tried several cheaper bits and they could not even start a hole. These Bosch Bulldog's were able to drill into the Basalt boulders like butter. Well, for 3-8 holes that is, until the carbide tip wears out and then they instantly melt and deform haha. But it worked in Basalt and that is what we needed!

Did the job
Went through my concrete slab, just added some water to avoid overhit.

Good bit.
Granite boulders.. we got that. This bit works pretty damn good. Sure , I wore them down till they broke the carbide. And bought more! And split some big stone with up to 14 feather and wedges.

Great sturdy drill bit.
It's a Bosch. What more does one need to say? It is the right size and strength, and works great. Bosch has never let me down.

Good bit
Good SDS plus bit, a quad cutter would be better and faster but also more expensive. SDS bits are somewhat disposable so these work quite well.
