Even if you don't need to operate it at night, it will automatically turn on the lights. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ UL certified, works well, easy to install. Good value for the money *by Y***T on Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2022* Disclaimer - always hire a professional if you don't know and never done basic electrical work, please. It would be safer.However, if you know your away around doing this kind of work, it is a piece of cake to install. Installed one of them a few days ago and it works great. It has a lot of configurable options on the switch (amount of ambient light, sensitivity, and shut-off delay) as well as different operating modes. I installed it in the bathroom and set to occupancy mode, so that it automatically comes on when someone enters and stays one while someone is there. Then it will automatically turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity. You do have to play with sensitivity to get it where you want it depending on your surroundings. I have a large mirror that is positioned across the sensor and whenever there movement outside the bathroom that reflects in that mirror it triggers the switch. I have it dialed in pretty close but some false triggers will still happen, it won't be perfect.
