I use these books everyday
I love this book.I have been playing the guitar for 40 years altho not well. I also have an MA in Music. I decided that I wanted to improve my technique, so I started studying classical guitar. I have many books and studies and have used them in my practice, however I always felt like they weren't helping me enough.I stumbled across these books on YouTube. I saw students playing a study and sending it to their web teacher. What initially impressed me was that even tho these were just studies, they were musically interesting. Most studies in other books are just tedious! I did research on the books and bought them. What makes these books so good is how Sagreras provides studies that increase in difficulty very gradually from study to study. There's always something to learn, but the steps are small enough that you can always be successful.I can't tell you how often I've started an exercise and by the look of it, it seemed so simple. Why not just skip over it since it seems so easy. However after getting into it I always get the same feeling: "Oh Yeah, now I see. This is what he wants me to learn." They're always small things, but also always important.I believe that a good teacher is very important, but I will say that if one has some music background, pays close attention, and thinks about what you're doing I think you'll need to pay for fewer lessons.Highly recommended

Thank You Maestro Sagreras
I ordered both the first and second book, and this one came first. Now I'm glad I ordered the first one, because it took little time to see I have a lot to learn! It looks like I won't get around to this book for quite some time. But I did look through it, sight read some of the lessons, and listened to others playing some of them on YouTube. I agree with what others have said about each lesson being melodic and interesting. Many of these lessons you could easily add to a concert encore. Now I can't wait for the first book to get here. And I'm happy I have this one waiting for me to dust off and continue my studies...some day.

It is Amazing
I have been practicing classic and flaminco guitar for the past two years. I bought the 1-3 to practice more . However, you must know your notes well otherwise it is waste if money and time.It is absolutely great for anyone who wants to learn classic and flaminco. It is full of great techincs. I am working t it with my teacher supervision.

What I've been looking for!
Carulli, Aguado, Sor, Carcassi. Done much of them but never satisfied. Bought Sagreras 1st book. Elated. If you like Latin music, you'll be served. With a feeling. What I like about that book: the exercices are short and to the point. They mean something. And they did exactly what they say they would. I would recommend that you follow to the letter whatever advice is given to you. Well, I also have to mention that people are starting to gather when I play. Never happened with the other books. So I am doing exercice 83 where "my thumb, index, and ring finger play simultaneously" (right hand). Very challenging. I'll keep you posted.

and I was not disappointed. Some of the later exercises are very complex ...
Sagreras is superb. I bought this for sight reading purposes, and I was not disappointed. Some of the later exercises are very complex and take the player well beyond the 12th fret on all six strings.
