I bought one for me and one for my sister, I tend to react badly to bites and am obviously so tasty that I get bitten through my clothes. I was a little dubious to be honest but I am delight to find that it does actually work. I had two bites right next to each other and these ones normally swell up very large and are very red and itchy, I often find I scratch them in my sleep and they leave scars. With this device I can zap them a couple of times and the itch settles down, they have not swollen up like they normally do and the red area is localised to the bite rather than my half my calf muscle. Other more innocuous bites have responded to only a couple of zaps over several days. My sister has found similarly. I now take my zapper everywhere with me! The only downside is its shape because it looks like something dodgy in your handbag ;)!!

The 2 different heat levels are good for discovering ones sensitivity but even the hot setting is bearable for the brief time. And it does take the irritation away.

Being plagued with bites recently whilst shooting on the range. Used this instead of creams and it works very well. Can be a little uncomfortable but let the heat plate cool before treating another bite.

Great great great stopped my bites from itching just be careful on the children there are two setting so might not be as bad on the little ones but superb 10/10

I get eaten alive but got one on my foot in the morning I was out got back 4 hrs later used it then and it stopped it so it’s brilliant

Sadly the switch between settings appeared to rattle and not provide the 3 options as it was marked on the device. The light knly ever stayed red during charging - even after 10 hours. When switched to 'on' no lights came on at all, and it never heated up. Very disappointed as I have a sting that has spread to a wide area and is extremely itchy and sore!

Mosquitos love me. I tend to get humongous bites and need to take oral antihistamines. I have tried every cream under the sun and find that BOOTS antihistamine cream for stings and bites helps the best but it doesn't cure the itching alone. Until that is, I found this brilliant little device mentioned in a beauty forum on Facebook. I have returned from holiday in the Algarve, Portugal (Sep-23) and I can happily say that this device stops the itching and makes the bites considerably smaller very quickly. Some bites took several 'zaps' to relieve the itching, others only needed one 'zap'. I became the most popular person in our villa and had a constant line of people coming to my room wanting to be 'zapped'. ;-) The whole zapping process takes about 6 seconds. The last two seconds can become quite unbearable (depending on the thickness of the skin), but it is so worth the two seconds of pain to get rid of the itch (hence the three stars for comfort). I highly recommend this handy little device which fits neatly into a handbag. I live in Wandsworth, London and very much a real person, giving an honest opinion.

Item received had been out. Cable tie on charger had been undone and box had been squashed to open at top. Would have sent back but was so desperate with a back full of itchy bites I kept it. On the plus side the gadget itself is amazing. I used hottest setting and didn’t wait for plate to cool and my what a relief it was! I did worry about the hygiene of a previously ‘used?’ item but wiped first and hoped the heat killed off any communicable diseases. 5 stars for the item. 1 for it not being fresh out the box. Hence 3 overall.
