Nice small winch
Was going to buy the badlands 5500 but went with this instead. Glad I did as it saved me $70 and it had a wireless remote.Needed a small winch that I could put on a base to move around on different trailers or surfaces and this worked perfect.Powerful, fast, long rope length and it's wireless remote worked very well.I used this to pull a military hummer with 10psi in the tires up on to tall trailer with little effort. It's not perfect but for $145 with tax it's outstanding.

Same winch as Badlands ZXR 5000
This winch is basically the exact same winch as the Badlands ZXR 5000. Guaranteed they come out of the same Chinese factory. Specs and performance are the same. They're calling this a 4500 lb winch but inside the manual it says its rated for 5000lb. Seeing as the line speed specs are identical between both including gear ratio, pretty sure theyre the same and either this one is under rated 500lbs or the Badlands is over rated 500lbs for marketing. That's my guess. Either way, this is a far better deal at $100 less than the Badlands. The quality doesn't seem the best, nor the worst. Considering the low price, can't complain too much about the quality. The clutch knob is super cheap and flimsy feeling. Time will tell how long this winch lasts, but the price is pretty cheap so worth trying out. The wireless remote is a bit cheap feeling, but works awesome, no lag. The Badlands winch has pretty decent overall reviews, so I would expect this to be the same. Save a bunch and get this one,or any of the 4500 lb winches that look the same as these with the fin lines on the clutch housing. They're all the same with different branding.

a great addition for a side by side
I got this for my side-by-side to get unstuck while mudding on my property (got tired of using my tractor) so I got this.Installation was straightforward, I had to drill a few holes for it to mount on the front of my side-by-side, but nothing difficult.I've been using it for over a month, pulling logs, getting unstuck, etc. It never skips a beat, it's super smooth and has plenty of power for what I do around the property. The remote is an awesome feature to have, I find myself using it a lot more than the corded controls, especially when winding the cable back up so I can get the hook nice and snug without getting too tight. So far very happy with this purchase. :D

Plenty of torque, don't love the rope
The media could not be loaded. First let me say this thing brings the beef, it has questionably too much power for my purposes, which is a boat trailer winch. The electronics on it are amazing, the wires provided are top notch, I couldn't find anything as nice at Home Depot, the shielding and copper thread inside are much better than what I was able to buy for my plug extension. The hardware is okay but I had to buy longer bolts for mine. Everything is metric so be aware of that... The threading is 1.25. I did ever so slightly over draw and the rope turned into smashed crayons, I was able to break it up and get it back to normal but I wish I had gone with the cable... I might end up slapping some cable on there. The feed plate where the rope goes through is kind of baffling, I was able to get it finger tight but I can't get a socket around the head of the bolt once it's in the plate. The remote control range is ridiculous and more than I'd ever need for loading the boat. Overall a solid product but consider the cable version.

Cheap
The winch it’s self works, I’ve used the remote control a couple times and it worked good, the wired handle bar control is kinda iffy sometimes I have to click it a couple times for it to work. Pretty disappointed in the power of the winch though it doesn’t seem to be anywhere near 3,500 pounds. It struggles to pull my snow plow up and down on my atv if I had time to take the wiring out and unbolt it I’d defiently return it and put my money else where was not worth the money or time to get it installed, also the wires from the selnoid to the winch was stupid short so it was hard finding mounting placement for it espically with its size. A small detail that may not bother most but bothered me is they give you black Allen head bolts for the handle bar mount controller but send silver nuts so they stick out like a sore thumb wish they could of been black as well, eventually I’ll Probally replace it with a better winch that actually has some power behind it.

If you're mounting on A UTV buy a - mount switch
I installed this wench on a Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Like the look of the watch and love the fact that it has a wireless remote, Few things that gave me a little bit of trouble installing was the fact that the cables coming from the wench to the cylinoid we're barely long enough almost too short. 2 Of the wench mountain bolts were not long enough for my wench plate Had to use 2 of the old bolts from the wench I was replacing. The bolts were also not really long enough to fasten the fair lead to the front of the Honda Pioneer I could only install the lock washers the flat washers would not fit because the bolts were not long enough, Also on the fare lead there's not enough room to get a socket or wretch on the head of the bolt where it's recessed into the fair lead I had to use a screwdriver and wedge it in there to tighten the nuts up and the keep the bolts from spinning, Also the stationary switch that came with it is made for handlebars So I did not use it I used my old dash witch for my old wench. Just installed it today So have not really used it other than unwinding it and winding it backup with the tension on it to be sure it was tightly spooled The synthetic rope did not quite seem like it was 50' though Was definitely shorter than the cable in my old wench which was also 50' seemed about 8' or so Shorter than my old one. Other than that I think it looks great on the Pioneer and hope it works well when I need it

Works Great
I bought this winch to pull a 17 foot boat up a slight incline and into my garage. It works perfect, lots of pulling power, the wireless remote is exactly what I needed. Turns a two man job into a very easy one man job. I'm very happy with this product

Poor quality control.
Winch remote does not work.Control unit was labelled incorrectly, causing installation wiring to be connected nearly causing a fire.Rather poor design.
