Fabric Painting for Embroidery

FIRST: I purchased this book and 'Machine Embroidery: Stitched Patterns' with a mind towards using them for embellishment in soft sculptures which I do. Now am not sure that either will be really helpful for that purpose, but they do inspire me to use some of the techniques and patterns in making of fabric gifts for (soon to be 2) our granddaughter, In the past I have used printed design fabrics for quilting or embellishment, but am now inspired to paint and stitch my own original designs instead.

This is a great book full of wonderful pictures which cover a great number of techniques. It is much more of an idea book than an instructional one. I am not disappointed in the book, but would have liked a touch more information about some of the techniques and did not expect a coffee table type book.

Good book and service

This book is more an educational instruction book, lots of information, not what I was looking for. I have no experience, was hoping for a basic book for introduction to this art, nevertheless still a useful buy
