Supercharge
I highly recommend "The Habit Mechanic" by Jon Finn for anyone looking to improve their daily habits and routines. The author presents a clear and actionable approach to understanding and changing habits, which I found to be very helpful in my own personal development journey. The book is easy to understand and provides practical tips and strategies that can be immediately implemented. I also appreciate the focus on the science behind habit formation, which adds depth to the author's arguments. Overall, a great read that I believe will be beneficial for anyone looking to make positive changes in their life.

Most of What We Do Is By Habit... Ready To Make More of Those Habits Healthy & Helpful?
Good mechanics have tool boxes filled with quality tools. They know when and how to use those tools. The Habit Mechanic book is a toolbox for anyone who wants to improve and live their best lives. Most of the people I work with struggle with their weight and creating healthy habits for life. The Habit Mechanic has helped me better understand my brain and how it is keeping me from being my best self. The book is packed full of easy-to-understand and implement exercises and illustrations that make complex concepts simple to understand. This is a manual that you will refer to for years as you focus on areas to improve. If you are a person who impacts others and want to learn how to better lead, there are sections just for you as well!

nothing new
The half of the book is about the author and the other half just repetition. Mostly common sense and not practical in real life

Your Best Self
I love this book! I’m not someone who has consciously or consistently built routines or habits. This book has shown me how to address those things that are holding me back from being my best version of myself. If you have ever practiced martial arts or yoga, you know what it means to put yourself first, and the confidence it builds. Habit Mechanic does something similar by creating a daily practice to understand what motivates you and what derails you, but then also provides you with the tools to put you on a better track. The destination is of your own personal choosing. These are science based tools, tested and refined over 20 years, that can aid your growth and development at any age (From childhood to adulthood). Habit Mechanic provides a powerful approach for change that I’m currently integrating into my coaching practice. The app makes the practice/reinforcement of learning even easier. Dr Jon nailed this.

Habit Mechanics makes you think and work smarter
In full disclosure the author sent me a review copy of the book. I have participated in several of Dr.Finn’s educational offerings but this is the first time I have viewed the book.I found the material comprehensive and engaging. It was my goal to finish the book quickly but I slowed down to ponder the many tools made available. In truth it may serve as both a text and workbook combined. A good read and hopefully tool to improve personal and professional habit goals achievements.

The Habit Mechanic tools have helped me find my mojo again
So many self help books exist for being your best and improving focus, as do many POD Casts, courses and apps. I myself have used many of these, even therapy and they work for a short while but don't form a lasting change. But Habit Mechanic is different, I am seeing big change in myself, and for the first time in 2 years have a feeling of purpose, of drive - indeed i have my mojo back. The key with the book is using it stage by stage. There are many tools and to make lasting change you cannot do it all at once, as Dr Finn says - "one habit at a time". I purchased the book when it was first launched on kindle having attended a couple of webinars and signed up for the mail drops, i will be honest it didn't sit with me at that time. i was still recovering from a major breakdown and in a very depressed state. Still, i attended a couple more webinars and it was all making good sense, then the app appeared which really made the difference. I started to feel like i wanted to do these small tools each day to not only understand and improve myself, but to spur on the others in the community to do the same - helping each other to get going. 4 months on i have been regularly dipping into the book (i bought the physical copy as found it easier to flick into/ work through questions). I pick up new tools as the others become embedded, each one making a little more difference. The first tool you use is most simple and takes moments, to find one small thing to make your day better, when you add in end of day reflection it trickles one to the next. Adding in weekly plans, daily details and focus/ mindset tools then allows you to achieve plenty. The tool that has really brought the purpose for me is long term goals you work back, breaking down to eventually habit changes to make. It took me a long time to get my first plan down, not having any goals and surviving day to day. Now i gave there is drive to achieve and i find myself eating myself 8, 9 or even 10/10 in terms of how much of my best i was! For context, i was a 1/2 best case 4 when i started. So it goes without saying i highly recommend the book, but also suggest it is supplemented with the app and/ or podcasts/ webinars/ training/ coach program to really boost your use. It does take some light effort and commitment- as anything would, but its the first programme i have used that has genuinely worked and stuck!

Game changer
Dr Jon Finn’s “The Habit Mechanic” is a very important book and was a game changer for me. I am a firm believer of the view that changing our habits is the most important work we can possibly do in life. All of our other objectives are outcomes: how well we achieve them depends on our deeply embedded habits. So, improving our habits has a beneficial impact across the board for us.“The Habit Mechanic” is a unique book. It has the double value of a textbook and a manual. The fact that it is based on science gives it high credibility. Chapters start with real stories about well-known people. The abundance of tools to pick from and apply is impressive. But what I loved most about The Habit Mechanic was that it puts YOU in charge, it makes YOU feel responsible for your transformation. This is hugely empowering and it is present throughout the book.

Grazie Jon Finn.

Life changing
Simple to follow and supported with easily relatable true-life stories from the world of sport, business and everyday life this book will genuinely change how you think and act by applying just a few simple techniques each day.As opposed to many other books that focus on the brain and how it can so easily lead us to make the wrong choices and habits day to day this one actually gives you simple steps to build good habits that then become part of your daily routine. The importance of Diet, Sleep and Excercise for your brain and therefore for you yourself to function at your best every day is something I'd never really given thought to yet is so simple to focus on and pays huge dividends. Also Jon's techniques to focus on positives rather than our natural tendency to dwell on the negatives is so simple to master compared to other similar techniques in books of this genre.I enjoyed the book and its results so much I'm now making it part of our internal team training plan so I'm now surrounded by a hugely effective team of habit mechanics.I highly recommend this book and the teachings of Dr Jon.
