I've never heard of medical grade stainless steel; and I don't want to give you false information. **Q: This might sound dumb but are the forks sharp? I purchased another set on Amazon and I hate that the forks are not pointed to a sharp point.** A: I think they're sharp enough; they're definitely not rounded. I'm very happy with this purchase, so much so that I purchased an additional one for when we have large family gatherings, and have received many compliments. They are all the expected, appropriate SIZE as well. Polished up so pretty and shiney too! I checked each utensil, they are very smooth! No burs! I feel like I just WON the silverware lottery! LOL 😆 The price was certainly affordable as well. A big shout out to the "HaWare Company" for taking pride in their product! Sadly to many companies just don't care anymore. IF you are looking for some really wonderful silverware that you can be proud to use and share at your dinner table, look no farther!
