I bought the Italian version back in 2011. I was so happy with the learning method that allowed me to listen while at the gym and on walks...that I became nearly fluent in Italian. I printed the manual so I could follow along in paper form as well.The German is exactly as the Italian was. I am glad they didn't change the format. I just ordered the French one as well. I want to make sure I have it in case they stop providing this item. I home schooled 6 kids all of which are multilingual now. Instant immersion provides the best learning platform for us. So glad they still make this item.

I bought this on a whim at Barnes and Noble. I thought, "how bad can it be for that price?" Far cheaper than Rosetta. The lessons are cute - which may make you feel they are not valuable. Don't be fooled. They really worked. So well that when I went to Germany, I was able to actually converse with people when asking for directions, ordering food, and having casual conversation about where I was from and my family. While speaking with one man, I had to back out once his questions went beyond my comprehension saying I didn't speak German. He looked surprised, switched to english and said, "But I thought you were German!" Worked far better than 4 yours of high school French...which left me with the ability to ask where Sylvia might be and how much a yellow scarf was...and not much more.
