Very nice kitchen towels.
I've bought these for my mom twice now over the years and they've held up great. We're a family that cooks a lot, and these towels not only have to deal with the daily use, but the excessive holidays, as well. They're good towels, hands down. The only problem I've had is the initial use -- they need a wash or two before you use them, otherwise they don't absorb well. Not sure what that's about, but after washing them they'll soak up any spill or mess like little troopers. I wholly recommend these towels for people who spend a lot of time in the kitchen! (Also, as a side note, the towels aren't easily cut; I tested this after drying a knife and fearing I'd cut the fabric. I hadn't, and had to work to get the very sharp kitchen knife through the towel. Seriously, these towels are awesome.)

These were exactly what I wanted for the kitchen
These towels are not to thick not to thin. They feel pretty durable they are a generous size even after washing, no shrinkage, no noticeable shedding or fuzz. I use a 1/4 cup of white vinegar as a fabric softener..... regular fabric softener actually repels water so on all towels and wash rags I used white vinegar (there is no smell at all). They are very absorbent. They are a good general dish towel. Will buy more when I need them!

Great product
These towels are everything they say they are, and more. They're very absorbant and also dry quickly so you don't have a wet towel hanging there all day. They're also substantial....not wimpy like so many others on the market today. I almost returned them when I saw the washing instructions said to wash in COLD water but decided to use HOT water and see what happened. I was very pleased to see that the hot water didn't hurt them at all...no fading!

Very absorbent and look nice
These aren't the finest kitchen towels I've purchased. They have a tendency to snag. On the other hand, they look ok and are very absorbent which is the primary function and the price is right. They will make good rags when they get old.

Good thickness. Great size. 100% cotton.
Update Feb. 2013: Originally bought in Nov. 2012. Still no problems with these towels even though I always wash them in heavy duty setting and in hot water. Love the size, thickness and absorbancy. Going to buy another set.I don't understand the complaints that it's not absorbable, unless they received a product that wasn't 100% cotton. The other culprit is fabric softener. I never did understand why fabric softeners are used in the first place. Fabric softeners "soften" the fabric by coating it with a waxy film that lubricates them. Early fabric softeners used oil, newer ones use things with lots of letters and syllables that are hard for me to pronounce but still essentially does the same thing. You wax your car, water beads off. You wash your towels...same thing. You've also got oily wax on the clothing that you're wearing, ick.I don't know about the other stores, but I bought mine from Microfiberhome just because of the Prime two day delivery. It seemed like a good choice. These towels are relatively large and did not shrink much after initially washing them in hot water. I really like them. They absorb liquids like...cotton fabrics. I finally found kitchen towels in the right combination of quality and size that I like. Yes a little bit more expensive but I think well worth it.One more thing is to always wash (washable) fabrics before using them for the first time. "New gear is dirty gear."

Nice, but expensive.
The towel is very nice. Bright color. Very soft. VERY Expensive when compared to similar towels.

Worth the effort of breaking them in!
For many years I used a stack of commercial "tea" towels purchased in New Zealand from a restaurant supply store. But nothing lasts forever, so I finally had to throw in the towel. (Pun intended!) Every dish towel I bought in the U.S. was a disappointment, not working nearly as well as the ones made in NZ. The thin kind were absorbent, but quickly became soaked and unusable after a few dishes. The thick kind always left dishes wet and tons of lint behind, even after numerous washings.I ordered these despite the negative reviews because they were titled "commercial grade." Like other reviewers, I found they were not very absorbent and left behind a lot of lint, but I didn't give up. I washed and dried them several times, and they became slightly better each time. Now they've reached a point where they're extremely soft and absorbent, and they don't leave behind any lint at all. I'm glad I persevered because these are attractive and well worth the effort.

Meh...
Ordered a set of these towels back in 2011. Great quality, FANTASTIC absorbency. Even seven years old and faded, the towels absorb floor spills in a snap! The same is NOT true of the towels currently being sold.I ordered another set o f eight in June of this year (2018), and all are not nearly as absorbent. The weave is not tight, and I would not be surprised to learn that some of the fibers are man made.
