When in motion sensor mode, during the day or artificial light, if I walk by does it turn on when is not necessary?

In motion sensor mode, and ambient light is bright enough, light is off and motion sense doesn't have any effect. When light is on (low ambient) its dim, then goes bright for one minute and back to dim.

A ball park figure for passive infrared motion detector current draw is around 40 micro amperes at between 3 and 5 volts dc. This would jump to around 400 micro amperes when triggered.
