Why such harsh reviews?!
As you can see in the pics, I got great germination. I was very apprehensive about ordering these seeds based on the reviews. I ended up giving it a shot and I’m glad I did. I think the bad reviews come from people that are not preparing the ground or providing proper moisture. A soil sample must be taken. This will tell you if your soil is at the proper PH to support growth. It will also tell you your soils nutrient level and lastly organic content. With this information you can amend your soil for optimal growth. The soil must be prepped, you will need to break the soil up or rototill down to a depth of 6 inches, you can add any soil amendments at that time. Level the area and pick out any large rocks or sticks. You will want to pre wet your soil. Give your soil a good soaking with water. Let the top layer of soil dry enough to walk on it. It might take a day to dry enough. Lay your seed and starter fertilizer down with a spreader. You can either lightly rake your seeds into the top soil or put a thin top layer of peat moss over the seeds. You can do both but make sure you don’t burry the seeds too deep. Do not cover them more than 1/8 inch. You will then want to water. After you start watering do not let the top layer of soil dry out EVER. If the seeds or new sprouts dry out they will die. It is also important not to water too much. Standing water and waterlogged soil will rot seeds or new sprouts. Watering will vary based on your personal situation like location, soil type, water output of your sprinkler system or hose, sun exposer, wind, rain ect….. A good place to start is 3-4 watering a day at 1/8 inch water each time. It’s best to set an auto water timer on your sprinkler system or hose so you will not miss any waterings. Bermuda grass takes anywhere from 7-21 days to germinate. After the grass germinates water can be cut back to a couple times a day. Good luck. Update: I started the seeds on Jun 20, 2025. They started sprouting on day 7. The first two pictures were taken on June 27, 2025 and the last two pictures on August 31, 2025. No problem with germination. I am happy with the results and I know next year it will even look better.

Poor quality
Didn’t germinate. Planted Bermuda grass before and this is junk. Messaged their customer service and was met with no help at all. Attempted to try to communicate problems and initiate product support in a polite and positive way and was met with less than helpful responses.

Bermuda seed
Have bought twice. Seems to work well. Planted in sand at coastal properties

Works but needs a lot of prep work
Prior to seeding, I aerated 2 weeks beforehand. Once I laid seed down (2 lbs per 1K sq ft) I used a lawn roller for good seed to soil contact. I then applied Humichar and Scott’s Starter Fertilizer, and covered the bare spots with Pennington seeding straw. I’ve been watering two time a day (10 minutes each time) for about 25 days now (except during and after heavy rains) and I’m seeing about 60 - 70% germination. First bit of germination started in week three (Sprouts are really hard to see at first and start out brownish red). There are still some areas that are patchy but for the most part decent coverage. Weather has stayed between 55 and 89 degrees and we got about 2.5 inches of rain overall, so I’ve been lucky there. I think the product is a bit over priced for the current results but overall I’m happy. (Located at coastal NC)

Keep the seeds damp
I planted a small plot to test the germination rate based on reviews that said the seeds did not germinate after following all the suppliers planting procedures. The reviews were accurate but I let the seeds dry out due to a few hot and windy days. I planted another seeds in another area a planted a billion or more seeds from the same bag and to guarantee at least a few would grow a planted another billion seeds in the same place and raked them in with my leaf rake and covered them with a shallow layer of peat moss and watered everything thoroughly. I watered the area every day and sometimes twice a day if I noticed the peat was starting to dry out. In about 5 or 6 days I had about 2 billion baby grasses popping out of the peat. Moral of this review, be sure to keep the seeds damp after you plant the seeds as recommended. If you don’t they won’t ever sprout.

Bermuda seeds works amazing!
These Bermuda seeds SAVED my grass. These pictures were taken of results in under two weeks. We do not have full sun in our backyard and the seeds still worked amazing. We’ve tried just about everything and spent thousands of $ to get our grass to grow back after being destroyed to no grass by construction. These seeds germinate quickly and are clearly fresh seeds. I wish I would have tried this to begin with, these are affordable, easy to use, and worked quickly in restoring our grass to green perfection!

Tis seed does not sprout under ideal conditions and care.
Never sprouted! This seed was planted by an experienced person, in the spring with moderate warm temperatures, topsoiled and watered religiously, and not one blade of grass sprouted. The seed looks like little round yellow granules, not like regular grass seed. We have never used any grass seed that did not sprout something. This seed is worthless to us and a waste of a good amount of money. This was falsely advertised and does not grow as stated.
