Hot Wings Planes Cessna 172 with Connectible Runway in Aviation Museums Nationwide

I got this to help with visualizations for flight instruction. It is cute and portable. It is sturdy, but I kinda wish the gear and the prop were also metal. But, for its use, it is great.

This airplane and runway were a hit for my new pilot's birthday. It fit perfectly on my 8" round cake. When the cake was gone, it was a nice souvenir gift for the birthday boy. He was pretty proud that he could fly the toy Cessna and land it on the mini runway. The plane seemed well made with attention to detail.

Much loved by the recipient - she plans to be flying a real one soon!

Nice scale model

I got my Dad flying lessons for christmas and to add to it I gave him this model of the plane he will be flying on. It's an accurate die cast model except for the front landing gear. I'm not sure why all models like this have that funny looking front wheel with the rest of the plane accurate but it does.

Hot Wings consistently produces awesome die cast aircraft toys. Be aware that unlike Hot Wheels or Matchbox, they are not to the same scale as each other; this toy Cessna is about the same size as a Hot Wings fighter jet or jumbo airliner. Having all the toys the same size is a plus for kids, and I've yet to meet a kid who cares about the scale of the models.

Other than that I love the plane. I used to fly in one of these all of the time when I worked at a seaplane base.
