I love these needles. I’m never going back to the cheap ones!
These needles are amazing and worth the money. They are super sharp. After using cheaper, duller needles and then switching to these - I actually NEEDED thimbles bc I poked my fingertips a few times (that’s a good thing). They are also remarkably strong and flexible at the same time. I have worked them hard in EPP and I haven’t broken one yet. I have pulled hard enough that my thread broke but that’s a reality of hand sewing with cotton thread. Even though these say “large eye”, I found I really benefited from using a needle threader. The Clover desktop threader works for threading but it sometimes takes 2 or 3 tries. Not a big deal. But you may need to try different threaders to find one that works consistently with these needles. I love these needles and plan to keep using this type and brand for as long as I can. They are worth the money, they’re that good.

Very smooth needle & eye. Easy to thread for their size.
Excellent for hand sewing, such as in English paper piecing, or for piecing quilt blocks. Very smooth needle & eye. Eye is just large enough for me to thread by hand using the fold over & pinch method. (I have arthritis & MS, so that’s a boon.)The eyes aren’t as large as tapestry needles, but they are larger than the eyes of similar sized sharps, betweens, milliners or appliqué needles. The eye is almost the same size as the needle shaft, so you don’t have to tug to pull the eye through. They are pretty flexible, but aren’t very sturdy, as one would expect of such a thin needle. Most last several days, or even over a week of stitching 6-8hrs/day. Only one broke after 9hrs of stitching. Pretty good durability. They are expensive, but so far, they’re the easiest to thread for their size & have the smoothest eye I’ve found (they sand the eyes by hand).

Top notch needle for EPP
If you do English Paper piecing theses are the best needles for the job. They glide through fabric and have a bit of bend. Very sharp.
