HODEDAH IMPORT 5 Shelve Bookcase cabinet, Beech

Got this bookshelf for added storage in my coat closet. Works perfect! Great size and well made. This was very easy to put together by myself (a tad heavy so if you’re not that strong use 2 people). Pretty stable even on carpet. This was one of the few shelves this size that I could afford, so was afraid it might be flimsy but it’s better quality then some of the more expensive ones I have!

This is the perfect size bookshelf for a small space! If you have a lot books like me, each shelf is wide enough to fit a double row of books. The back row of books I will add a spacer to elevate them so that they can be seen. The assembly didn’t take long. My husband was able to put it together fairly quickly.

The measurements were right, it was easy to put together and it looks like the photos. However, I’m not a fan of the back panels being kinda flimsy but the rest was sturdy at least. I also put it together properly but it was still wobbly

I was really happy with the quality. They have ten screw turns and lots of cool old school stuff I remember from shop class. I didn't like the metal screws showing on the sides, but a metal surface becomes black when a sharpie is applied. I tried many shelves, and many broke while assembling. These also come with a kid-proof kit of some sort, and I just felt there was some actual structure and reliability to these shelves. They worked out great for my home office, but I can see them being totally cool for a small apartment. If the back shows, you will have to paint the exterior of the shelf backing black. That is easy, as the material would absorb paint well. I was really happy with these. They are a good quality product for the money.

These shelves are so nice I ordered a second set. My husband is pretty handy with fixing things, but it was quite easy to put these together. Just be sure to take note of the numbers on the shelves as you put it together. There are special shelves that go on the top and bottom. I choose white ones and it looks so nice in my closet. If you are looking for high quality solid wood, this is not your deal. However, the hardware and preparation for the screws is well done and things went together smoothly. I am very satisfied with product.

Do not buy this if you plan to use it anywhere other than the garage. The only photo that shows the poor quality of this item is the measurement photo and the 360 view. The screws on the outside to hold the shelves in place do not screw in all the way leaving them sticking out at least 1/16 of an inch. The first order arrived damaged/unusable and the second one was still slightly damaged on a corner but we just made do. After we unboxed it all and began the assembly it became obvious this is not worth even half of the price paid. The shelf boards are not finished on the underside and is VERY noticeable! The "engineered wood" edges are not all smooth - making the cheap finish look even cheaper. What a disappointment this has all been.

Mostly on the edges but some in the middle.The screws do not go even remotely flushThe design is terrible for carpet and will wobble a lot if your carpet is even remotely long.I ended up getting extra wood and hardware to bolt the two into one unit and give the whole thing legs so it sits on the carpet nicely, and while I'm satisfied with the final result, spending half as much again in supplies just to get it to sit nicely on carpet seems like a bit much.

I should have measured what I wanted to be stored in it before ordering so I’m using it for another purpose. Very easy to install. I may order another.

Would have preferred adjustable shelves, but it was a very easy assembly and serves its purpose.

Bookshelf is super easy to assemble, ours came undamaged and took about 20 minutes to build. I was a bit worried about the dimensions as I didn’t have any wiggle room for even an inch larger than what it was listed as (see corner where shelf is in photo) but it was cut exactly to spec and worked perfectly. Overall no complaints, a bit expensive for how big it is but it does exactly what I need it to do.
