Whitmor Hanging Garment Bag - Closet Organizer

Have bought several then reordered even more. Not super heavy duty for daily use but I use them for storing my formal wear and things I won't need often. They do zip all the way around which I couldn't tell from the picture. I can see the plastic getting brittle over time as it isn't a very "pliable" plastic compared to others I have had but I am pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price. They hold quite a few items without losing their shape and I have them hung on commercial clothing racks filled with formal wear and seasonal clothes to rotate in/out of my regular closet and they work great for that. I would recommend them for this type of use.

I ordered the Whitmor hanging garment bag to store my dresses that I don't wear every day. I wear one and wash it then then I have been using my spare bathroom for a walk in closet as I have run out of space . I want the clothes to stay fresh and clean so I got this bag to put all the ones I wear once into and then hung it into a space in my guest room closet. It's quite sturdy , has a full zipper from bottom all the way to and around the top , much bigger than I expected (holds more clothes) and I feel that it will keep my dresses from getting that smell from just being left hanging around unprotected. It would be great for seasonal clothing, put all your winter clothes in for the Summer months and take them out and then put in your Summer clothes. It was simple to put together and it is a great product for protecting your clothing from dust, odors, etc..

Agree with other customers that instructions are poor and trial and error to get the internal, metal hanging frame to stay rigid. I needed to turn over and try different ways and found one that worked. Suggest you start with the frame; find a way that works to make rigid, then put inside the plastic hanging bag. Correct that there is no cardboard or internal frame for bottom; however, did not affect how I needed to use. Internal structure for bottom would be very helpful if you wanted to put folded item in bottom (Ex. scarf that goes with a coat, etc.)

It’s pretty flimsy. If you plan to take clothes in and out of this often it will not hold up. The zipper will fail first, and mine came with a section where it’s not even sewn to the bag right at the corner, so I have to hold it just right to unzip & zip it. The metal frame is annoying. Just when it would stay in place and not collapse on the stored dresses, I tried to move the bag over and the frame collapsed again. You have to McGyver it to stay upright, they really need to have a Velcro piece attached to wrap around the frame or something. It’s definitely not as sturdy or nice as the one I saw in my Grandma’s closet, which started my search for one like hers. The length is good and it will do for what I need. If I wasn’t storing dresses I would send this back and find something better. But I don’t anticipate opening this bag but a couple times a year & it might hold up for that.

Unfortunately I missed the return period by one day and I'm stuck with this waste of money. This garment bag may work ok for you if you expect to put stuff in it for long term storage, but if you plan to open it regularly, you should know the following: - Zipper quality is cheap (like those zippers on sheet sets, not bags intended for regular or long term use) - Plastic is too thin and flimsy (ok, good for environment, but lousy on account of next problem:) - Zipper does not open down the center, but across the top and then down the side; this is (1) incredibly annoying -- the flimsy plastic flops around, impeding easy access to your clothes, and (2) going to hasten the demise of the zipper since there is an unnecessary stress point at the corner (made worse by the cheap zipper) - The top metal frame is not rigid, but folds at the center (under the closet rod), so it doesn't hold the top of the bag up properly - this is made worse by the flimsy plastic, and it makes operation of the cheap zipper more difficult - There's no cardboard base to hold the bag in shape at the bottom either. - All in all, this is a flimsy item that is difficult to use. Even though I'm stuck with this now, I do not plan to use it. Grrrrrr.

This hanging garment closet organizer was exactly what I needed to store clothes in our hallway closet. the material is sturdy and holds A LOT of clothes! I like that I can zip up what I'm hanging so it's not bothered by other items around it like our steam cleaner and other cleaning supplies. I also love that I have a lot of clothes hanging on the metal rods inside and there's no drooping or stretching of the metal or hangers securing the organizer. If you are looking to get organized or swap out your seasonal clothing with protection from dust and other elements, I highly recommend this product!

Smidgen hard to hang just finagling the hooks through the loops then onto the bar all at once but worth it. Good quality this works perfect, I have 10+ dresses, uniforms, and a suit in the, and it's not overstuffed. The only downside is it's short for my long dresses, they bundle up at the bottom but not a big issue especially if you lay the extra fabric flat along the bottom of the bag. The inner bars make hanging and removing a breeze I'm no longer fighting to get hangers out of a small hole.

These work perfect for me! Took seconds to assemble/hang in the attic. I put in 3 formal dresses and 2 heavy winter coats and there's still plenty of room. One longer gown does "pool" at the bottom of the bag and the bag does have a plastic smell when opened but neither of those things is a huge concern for me. As long as I'm on here on Amazon, I will order more. A great find for the money!!

The only reason it is not five star is that the metal frame that holds The square shape on the top is also attached to the hooks and they are off not that strong metal

Closet in a bag! Keeps everything organized and free of dust! Using for wedding business. My staff love it. Will be ordering more.

Reasonable price. Not a fancy heavy duty quality type but good for casual daily use. I reordered 3 more after receiving my 1st one to test out. I wish it has some shorter but wider dimension type.
