Artograph SuperPrismLens Prism Lens, Black

The lens is an absolute upgrade to the original lens that came with the projector. This is w/o question. The difference b/w this lens and original is night and day. The whole setup is not a perfect solution, because the image is best in the center, but starts to get fuzzy towards the outer edges. But it saves me hours of work if I would have to draw this by hand. I'm a hobby oil painter, and I paint for the love of it. I don't love drawing, so I enjoy having this tool. I looked into buying a projector that connects to my phone, but the technology keeps changing and I don't use this often enough to keep buying new projectors. This projector will easily last for 30 years. I also have a KopyKake Kwik Draw projector. And interestingly enough, this lens fits that opaque projector as well. And that setup of the KopyKake projector plus the Super Prism lens turns out to be the best combination of all. Not perfect, but way good enough. Oh, and yes, u need to have semi-darkness for this to work. I usually do my copy work in the evening. After I think that I have copied everything, I take out the flashlight on my phone and give it a quick check. Invariably I have missed some spots, so instead of turning my phone off and on, I shine the phone on my canvas, then hold it to my back while I add more lines. Then I bring the phone back and keep checking after each marking to be sure that I have it all. It works perfectly. Picture is complete, and I can begin the part that I love. One last thought, if u purchase this lens, don't throw the old one out. It works well if u need to reduce a picture. Just insert that lens in backwards and it will make the projected image smaller.

This lens is significantly sharper and allows for more detail than the regular lens, however I do feel it is a bit pricey. I really wish the Artograph simply came with the better lens instead of having to buy it as an "upgrade", as the Artograph itself is alreay quite expensive.

Price was great. Only used it once and everything was fine.

Expensive but such an improvement over the original lens. Finally the projector does what I bought it to do, enlarging or reducing images for my paintings.

overall quality of the image is better than the standard lens but this one seems to fade a little on the edges. Would also like a little more range of focus.

The imagine is very clear for my art.

Much clearer artograph pictures because of better lens. Fast delivery. Not cheap.

used to upgrade my Art o Graph Prisim projector. Wish I had saved the money on both of these items and purchased the Art o Graph Flair digital projector.
