Worked like it should for a well pump application, you can wire in a power switch or tank level switch. It has the output for the pump 12v. It has input from solar panels which don't charge a battery, they run the pump directly with solar power. Installed 2 solar panels in parallel to maintain a more constant 12volt, not sure you need 2, but it works for me.

This pump controller was more costly than my previous one and worth every penny. This thing is VERY well made! It’s compact, easy to hook up and…this is the best part: It’s water proof! Amazingly, most are not. And it performs extremely well even in the very hot climate where it is installed. I wish I had bought this one from the start.

Defective right out of the box.

This solar pump controller is the best one I have used on my small irrigation pump for my garden. The connections were easy to follow and from a one panel 12v DC nominal voltage it has paired up nicely to my pump. As long as the panel has sunlight on it, the pump operates as it should and it doesn't stutter or fail to start anymore due to the cloudy conditions on the panel. I;'d recommend it.

I haven't fully installed this unit yet but I have tested it out. The unit is sturdy and easy to install with the simple instructions, when connected to the panels it puts out a good constant voltage to power the pump. I still need to install this on a deep pump but It worked well with a surface transfer pump.
