CCNA Routing and Switching 200-125: Official Cert Guide and Network Simulator Library

Super service, great book!

For my part, my experience ordering this material from Pearson Vue (Cisco Press) was positive. I was offered a substantial discount for completing a customer satisfaction survey, the product arrived on time and in good condition.To use the Network Simulator software the customer must apparently have an account with Pearson Vue. I was required to login to my Pearson Vue account before the installation software would let me enter the access code allowing me to use the software. This is the only ding I have and the reason I did not give 5 stars. Having an account with Pearson Vue should not be a requirement to use the included software for anyone spending over $150 USD for a book.

Good study book

Apparently you need an access code to run the simulator that comes with the books. Mine didn't have one. I must have spoken with a dozen people at CiscoPress and Pearson. None were able to help except to pass me along to someone else or tell me to call Amazon and get the code from them. So I called them, might as well. I was told they wouldn't have this info. I did explain to two of the support techs with Pearson that the product came in a factory sealed box. That had not been tampered with. Didn't make any difference and they made absolutely no effort to help resolve the issue. I have also opened online support cases with CiscoPress and Pearson. Haven't gotten so much as a confirmation email from either company.Now I have a product that I can't fully use.

Don't like the book. Just wrote a long negative review and accidentally deleted before posting. Most people like these books, but they are not well written and are poorly organized.

There are waaaaaay better resources. This book is really just awful.

Excellent book for beginners to learn with.

I bought this set to suppliment a CCNA course that I am currently taking. One should be at least Network+ certified to make the most of this set. I did install the lab on my laptop, but have not used it yet.Before purchasing this set, beware that Cisco is revamping all of its CCNx certifications in February 2020. If you think you can get CCNA certified before then, definitely buy this set. Even if you don't get certified by then, you should consider this set as the core information is not changing.
