Q: besides 4k are their any other perks of the Ultra?

Improved processor & graphics processing leads to much less lag. As long as you have the available internet bandwidth, there's little to no buffering required. It has UHD HDR color technology (if your TV supports HDR color technology), Dolby digital surround & an Ethernet port built in for even better picture, sound & faster video signal capabilities than standard or previous models. In all, for the extra $30(+/-), even on a 1080p, non 4K/UHD TV, because this is a more powerful, hence faster setup & better quality video due to better WiFi (5ghz band supported) & higher quality graphics processors, the experience of the ultra is worth the extra money, as having owned both versions, I can say even for a 1080p TV, the ultra provides a much better quality overall experience- speed, picture, sound, connectivity all improved over the standard & new features like adding it to a speaker group to utilize your entertainment system's sound setup as a playback device for streaming music all make it worth the extra investment in my opinion.

Q: Is there any lag, stuttering or freezing up with this ???

The biggest thing that causes last between your phone and the Chromecast is there speed of your WiFi network in your house. If you have a cruddy network, your phone can't stay connected to your tv very well. If you have a great wifi network in your home, you're not going to experience lag when casting between devices.

Q: Does it comes with Ethernet Adapter?

Yes, it does come with ethernet. When you connect an ethernet cable to your router, the Google Home app completes the setup via ethernet, without needing to connect to a wifi signal.

Q: I don't want to control from a phone, I want to cast from my laptop. Will this work?

You can use Google Chrome on any laptop/computer to cast either the Tab, Screen, or if the websites video player supports it, just the video from the website
