The kit is fantastic and a brilliant introduction to electronics. There are many electronic components to play around with, the tutorials are clear, detailed, and up to date, and the customer support is amazing. I have a Raspberry Pi 5 and I had some questions about using a headless setup (essentially using a laptop as the keyboard and monitor for the Raspberry pi) The Freenove support immediately provided me with the answers I needed. I bought this kit to use with my Raspberry Pi 5 and learn some electronics whilst improving my Python programming skills. By coding something physical coding becomes less abstract and immersive. It should be noted if you don't have any understanding of Python or another coding language, then the programming/code part of the tutorials may not make much sense. But do not worry, if you learn a small amount of Python, the code makes enough sense to make it broadly understandable. I have done a few of the projects and got them all working. Any of the negative reviews which state – “ I did not know I need a Raspberry pi” have not done any research. You clearly do need a Raspberry Pi or Adrino to provide the computing power and give instructions to the electronics. This is is a great product and a friendly company.

You can learn a lot from this kit. A lot of examples. Fun. And cheap.

A great kit which have given hours of fun and learning. The instructions have to be downloaded but are comprehensive and fairly easy to follow. I found a couple of minor errors in a few programs but an excellent set. Remember you need a Raspberry pi already as it doesnt come in the kit.

I bought this for myself to go with my Pi. I think it's a great package for those wanting to try different projects and you can learn with it, but it wasn't as straightforward as I would have liked. It's very much just guides on how to put the circuits together and stock code. To learn about what I was coding I had to find other resources online.

TL;DR: Great up-to-date documentation with tutorials that actually work, without needlessly wasting hours in online rabbit holes. Firstly, I'm already an EE and software engineer specialising in mixed signal systems, and most of my life is spent in C doing bare metal programming, i.e., not fighting with Linux. I've being doing this stuff professionally for nearly four decades. Repeatedly I find that the most frustrating facet of Linux and other open source projects is that, despite all of the documentation out there, almost all of it is out of date, and you spend hours digging around in an endless maze of deeper and deeper rabbit holes, finishing up at numerous dead ends, only to discover that the documentation or tutorial you're relying on is out of date. Well, this is not the case with this kit. It's by far the best step-by-step set of tutorials I've encountered for open source. My positive comments also apply to their RPi Pico Ultimate Kit.

Zeer goede handleiding met uitvoerige informatie over elk onderdeel. Het pakket bevat veel meer dan aangegeven, zoals een camera, een stereoversterker, een barometer, … die ook niet in de handleiding staan, maar je kan ze op de website vinden. Ideaal om pubers op de weg naar elektronica te zetten. Hoge educatieve waarde en vele uren knutselplezier. Elke STEM richting zou dit moeten gebruiken.
