Brought New Life to My Old 2.1 System!
I purchased the Dayton Audio DCS165-4 6-1/2" Classic Subwoofer (4 Ohm) to replace the aging subwoofer in my old 2.1 system, and I couldn’t be happier! This subwoofer completely revitalized my setup. The bass is punchy, clean, and tight, far exceeding my expectations for its size.Installation was straightforward, and the build quality is excellent. It paired seamlessly with my existing system, and now the sound feels rich and full again. Whether I’m watching movies or listening to music, the low-end response is fantastic without being overpowering. If you’re looking to breathe new life into an older audio system or build something new, this subwoofer is a great choice. Amazing performance at an affordable price. Highly recommend!

This little sub is awesome!
I bought this to pair with some Klipsch RP-600M bookshelf speakers for my computer desk audio setup and I couldn't be more happy with it. I put it in a 0.5ft^3 ported box with a 2" port tuned to 37hz and it sounds amazing and hits hard. I'm running it off a Fosi Audio TP02 amp and it gives it more than enough power. I added a photo of my box design if anyone else wants to reproduce it, it can be made with a single 3/4" 2ftx4ft piece of MDF you can get from Home Depot for $30 and the port is a 2" PVC pipe cut at 10". Couldn't be happier with this little sub, it has exceeded all of my expectations for a small subwoofer and i highly recommend it.

Solid 6” subwoofer
This small 6” sub hits hard and sounds good. Fits in smaller spaces and performs well.

Dayton Audio 6.5 inch subs
Replaced my factory install Fender subwoofers in my 22 Nissan Frontier and improved the low end sound by a good measure. Fit perfectly in a 6.5" placement without modification. Next steps are to replace the truck amp and boost the 100 watts (2x50) to 400 watts music power on the sub channel. Will calibrate output gain to these so they don't clip and will parallel wire them so they run 2 ohm on the sub channel output. Love them so far.

Powerful high quality.
It replaces my klipsch 9.2 media computer sub speaker. I turn it on it sounds like 12in with quality deep base, amazing, beyond my expectations.

This little gut thumps in a tiny box.
I put this is a very small box about a gallon or so in volume, and it easy gets down to 40-50Hz, with audible output well below that. No way you'd mistake it for a pair of 12's, but it keeps the beat pumping at 80 mph on the highway with the convertible top down!WARNING: Do not let this driver get anywhere near metal shavings/filings. Admittedly, my workshop isn't the cleanest, but if you are using a dremel on metal and you are anywhere near this driver, you're probably going to ruin it. I killed two of them this way before I perfected by custom box. The Dayton mids I bought that were subjected to the same environment were not impacted at all.
