Non expensive excellent quality
I bought this tripod in a more or less emergency situation, and after studying different options one evening just before a scheduled trip. amazon delivered on time to my hotel - 5 star! The tripod is sturdier than what I would have expected from such a light-weight device. It's really versatile as well, and high enough to put my camera at eye level. It got its first use doing astro-photography and performed very well. Comes with a very handy pouch, and fits inside my travel bag.The only negative point is the instruction manual, that's quite light, should be a bit more explicit.I would absolutely buy it again.

Great tripod for large lens, great quality for the money, highly recommend!
Great tripod for large lens, great quality for the money, highly recommend! Using this with a Tamron 150-500mm lens. Small enough to strap to a backpack, strong enough to handle a heavy lens with minimal movement, etc. Really a quality product!

It broke in less than 5 weeks.
I purchased this tripod on Aug 25th for our Sept. Vacation. The pan adjustment froze up and locked open. Which means the Tripod must be perfectly level for every shot because you can't lock the panning knob. Unfortunately, it is outside the return window. To be honest it was performing great until that, but it wasn't dropped or damaged in any way and it still stopped working. I took a towel and wrapped it around the knob and had to use a pair of pliers to free it up. Maybe it only happens once, maybe it happens again. Just an FYI.

Best tripod I've ever owned
I bought the NS85C tripod, and I'm extremely impressed by the build quality and the mechanics. So first let me say this isn't your cheap plastic/aluminum tripod you'd buy at a Best Buy or Target. This is a beefy solid tripod that's not too heavy to carry on your camera backpack, it has the feel of assurance this isn't a tip over from wind tripod.I love the fact this comes with anti-vibration rubber feet, as well as stainless steel prongs that are great for sticking into loose soil.Raising the tripod to the highest level is easy and it doesn't have that wobbly feeling that cheap tripods have from the center leg/mount.There's a very good reason that this is more expensive than some competing brands, which is because this tripod works for every length lens you have.I bought mine for the A7RV coupled with the very heavy 200-600mm and a 1.4 teleconverter. No other tripod could hold this lens without the sag that comes after tightening down the mount. If your looking for a great tripod, this is it.
